Affliction PvP massive nerfs

I would trade half my damage for 1 actually good way to get away from every melee class in this terrible game

Calm down man. Affy is still going to be very strong. With the UA buff its going to be glorious now watching people take 2m+ hits for dispelling it. Shadowbolt is prob still gonna hit for 950k-1.1m instead of 1.7m which is fine. It’s not doom and gloom

100% but people’s brains cant handle it when they lose to affy locks.

Just locks in general. It’s perfectly OK to lose to the unlimited gap-closing melee skill train, but if a warlock has a chance to kill a melee? Emergency hotfix to nerf.

Im only sad about aff nerfs cause I need to touch MR more

I dont think shadowbolts should be hitting as hard as they were but then just nerf shadowbolt not 10 other abilities.

Honestly i enjoyed being able to bait the zug zuggers into my teleport to instantly kill them. It was like making them participate in the game for once not just pick lock and w key to victory. Actually made them have to think for once

I don’t either, but it’s always the warlocks that get emergency fixed with the melee zug’s being mostly left alone to do similar levels of opness.

I’m more surprised they didn’t give warriors another gap closer in the same hotfixes TBH.

Hey I just logged in and checked the damage to see how bad it is post nerf. It seems they’ve nerfed it more than 25% considering my top end crits are now at 500k, less than shadowbolt volley procs. Not sure what they did but the class is dead.

Ya, i went from highest bolts 1.5m to now highest 300-500k, thats more than the nerfs.

I have a 1.2m shadow bolt crit. I will say the dmg is much lower though and the buff to UA doesn’t seem to be making a difference. Shadow bolt went from my highest dmg to 3rd now. I think they need to revert the change to necrolyte teaching and that will have shadow bolt in a healthy place

I was surprised to see a double nerf to shadowbolt in 1 tuning pass. Seemed like 16% was hefty enough to see further testing.

Shadowbolt still critting for 1 mil.

The 1.5 million was on a crit only. but I agree that Haunt nightfall and another proc with the Soul Harvester:reaping damage could take half of someones health, which was a bit OP.

Yea I was too. I really enjoyed the single target affy build with soul harvester. However I switched to hellcaller last night and damage is much much better and healers were getting hit for 2.9m UA dispels which felt good.

After a bit of testing yesterday I was definently still playing soul harvester for any comp that required single target, or 2s.

However for comps that could rely on group pressure or BGB hellcaller was far better.

Soul harvester still gives you the punch you want for a target to die, it’s just not as reliably disgusting.
