So testing out the delves… I ran the same delve (Mycomancer) 3 different times on three different charcaters all 11s.
First was my 644 DPS Warrior - Took me around 30Ish Minutes, Almost died once with Healer Brann.
Second was my 630 Protection Pally with Healer Brann - Took me about 35ish Minutes. 0 Deaths breezed through it.
Third was my Resto Shaman, with tank Brann - Took me a little over an Hour at 631 Two Deaths, and Brann got completely bodied 3 different times.
So yeah you’re really cool for this one. Most people will argue and say get good. But i think i’m a pretty decent player. But taking over an hour to complete the same delve my Warrior and Pally in the half the time is boggling. Most Delves honestly shouldn’t take that long. But man that healing one was rough. Kind of makes me not want to heal in Delves anymore solo. Ill just go with a tank buddy that can just murk everything way faster then Brann from now on.

Hi,
Without a healer, tank Brann already felt pretty squishy before the nerf. Often times, as I’m sure it has been mentioned throughout this thread, he stands in mechanics and takes a lot of damage. He particularly gets chunked or almost immediately 100 to 0’d when facing Underpin hobgoblin mobs. This was exacerbated after the nerf, and it feels almost comical having to revive the man almost every pack. So, I ask, how is this fun?
Furthermore, were those who chose tank Brann clearing delves at a statistically significant faster rate compared to those who chose to spec Brann for DPS or healing? I think if you showed us the data it might be more understandable where these decisions are coming from. Another question I’d like to ask is, does it really even matter if they were clearing delves faster?
As it stands, a lot of folks feel like this is an unnecessary change because of the fact that healers are those that are the most affected; aka the demographic of folks who often feel pretty neglected in terms of quality of life. Most content as a healer already feels like a slog, so this change felt like yet another unnecessary gut punch just because we like to engage in content as our preferred role. We should not be penalized wanting to stay in heal spec.
I’m sure it is a surprise to anyone that there is currently a tank and healer shortage, and it is changes like this that deter people from selecting these roles in the first place.
Either revert the change, or take a less heavy-handed approach, because as it stands, I predict that you will see a sharp decline in tank Brann usage and player healer participation in delves.

damn, all the other equipment i have for him in that slot seems pretty weak so i figured i’d use that one
Tried it, hated it. Bran tank is noticable bad even in the 9s for my ilvl. Again if you dont want healers standing back and healing in delves why the hell are you making it where I have to be casting nonstop like a professional piano player to keep him alive?
If this is what you call fun… You dont know your player base.

Not when your lead dev is a lawyer…
Bull. Healer Brann was better than tank Brann BEFORE this change. Healer Brann is still better than tank Brann, who is now just unusable. As soon as you manage to clear T9, T10, or T11, then you can pretend you have a valid opinion. As is, I’m noticing based on your achievements that you’re still stuck on T8…which is faceroll easy btw (except with tank Brann).

Can Blizzard show me, how do you heal Brann if he is getting disenchanted faster than Varian Wrynn?

That’s just a lie - period.

Brann is absolutely terrible as Tank now, post-nerf. No amount of healing will keep him alive as he casually stands in pretty much every one-shot frontal mechanic. His damage is also essentially worthless now. About the only thing that he does that still “works” is his ability to hold aggro, at least until he dies again.
I feel like I was doing better in S1 with Brann as DPS and just face-tanking everything while healing myself. That’s just sad.

So these healers told you that it’s fun to watch and not be able to do anything as he stands in one-shot frontal mechanics and dies repeatedly?
I mean, even pre-nerf, he still stood in way more stuff than he should have, but at least he could survive it long enough to be healed…
Do your developers do all of their testing in an echo chamber or what? Try to actually read this thread if you really want to know what people think, because it tells a pretty clear story. No, it’s not an enjoyable experience post-nerf.

Kaivax not only popping back in purely to double down but also cherry picking one of the only solitary souls white knighting these nerfs to reply to was really the cherry on top. Dare I say it was peak cinema. We live in Clown World.
(Also yeah I unmuted the thread, curiosity got the better of me, oh well lmao)

“You think that’s what healers are supposed to do, but it isn’t.” Blizzard, probably

You failed spectacularly on this with the nerfs.

My suggestion would be to set up some sort of realm. Use it for testing and make it available to the general public to help test. Call it something like a “public test realm”, or PTR for short.
I reckon if you did something like this you’d be able to catch clearly troublesome and imbalanced things like this before it even went live.
Or you know, pay some staff to QA for you, maybe create a whole QA department.
