The world isn’t ending. Addons will still be developed.
Have some faith in Blizzard. They’ve done an excellent job with TWW, no reason to doubt them with Midnight.
Take a deep breath, its only alpha.

No one should just blindly believe in them or anything for that matter.
As much as I think people are overreacting and throwing fits for no reason, it is good to take a skeptical approach to the addons situation.
My opinions have been formed from their previous work, which is 99% bunk.
I have faith, in what I’ve already seen. ![]()
I’m sorry, but looking at everything across the entire company from the past 6 years alone should tell you to never trust Blizzard ever again under any circumstance, regardless of the topic, too. They do not have your best interests in mind, and they do not care about you.
The addons that will be developed will not be able to provide the functionality that players currently rely on them for. Addons are pointless if they are not helpful.
after seeing your other post now I know you’re a troll
nice trollbait topic but I guess I can reply anyways.
Are you insane? This is one of the worst expansions of all time.
let’s take a look back.
Season1: unplayable for months on some servers due to massive lags. We couldn’t use AH for a very long time. Hero classes were a nice novelty, but were pretty unbalanced, you could not really play what you wanted, but rather had to play what was stronger, and it’s still true now for some classes. Huge issues in m+ with tank threat. Big imbalances between classes. Some bugs. But in general season was somewhat ok, was playable.
Season2: This is where issues really started. They didn’t fix most of the bugs from previous season and a lot of new bugs appeared. Every single class has tons of bugs, funny enough most players don’t even realize that. Abilities and talents simply don’t do what their description says. Some classes like rouges have 30+ bugs per spec. So many random open world bugs, like dying while mid flight to flight master (!?) or staying in combat after killing a mob.
I had to skip this season entirely due to bug win inability to consume maelstrom weapon stacks, and fire mote not activating hot hands.
Most of the feedback from PTR was ignored, regarding class balance and bugs.
Season3: Almost all of the bugs continued, some of the major ones were fixed. Again all the feedback regarding dungeons and classes ignored. Abysmal class balance. Many dungeons entered live in overtuned state. They had to deploy emergency fixes. Season 3 had been abandoned by blizz very early, all balance and bug fixes stopped. Turbo boost and legion remix timing is terrible. Boost came too late, and remix came too early. It completely killed the season half way through.
Cooldown manager is terrible. You cannot customize s***.
All in all terrible expansion, mostly due to unprecedented amount of bugs and poor class balance.
Blizzard has been complacent for 20 years when it comes to UI and QoL, and you expect them to pick up the slack now?
You must be insane.
For all that time game relied HEAVILY on addons.
I first started paying attention to development on alpha stage in BFA times. Most of the feedback gets ignored, happens every expansion, and every season for that matter too.
Blizzard is simply stretched too thin, they lack personnel, or are inept, or most likely both.
Not really. This is the first expansion with a faster content cadence and it’s been incredibly buggy overall, many hero talents on release were bugged and either outright unplayable or incredibly bad. And for some reason I’m supposed to believe that everything is going to be fine when we are on: The same fast content cadence, adding player housing development to the pie, pruning classes and changing every single one of them to some degree, removing addons and developing addons.
No. This is going to be horrible. It’s WoD 2, but WoD might just end up being better.
No point in arguing about a future outcome.
People will just spew out their own views.
Just wait for the release.
Addons will not be developed that can achieve anything close to the UI customisation we have now.
What will be developed is reskinning tools.
They lied about their intentions and have not even had the respect for the player base to acknowledge the reception this has received. I have zero faith in them.
Thank you for your condescension.
The world is definitely not ending. However, the World (of Warcraft) is ending for some of us.
Good luck, just make sure not to hold that breath for too long.
Why on earth would I have faith in them when I have 21 years of history showing me why that’s foolish?
No.
Not when we’ve seen the rest of what they’re doing to the game in Midnight.
Not when we’ve seen that they’re being evasive (or worse) on their motives for gutting the game in several respects.
Not when they’ve repeatedly changed their tune on addons and what’s being done with the API and so on.
It’s only alpha, just wait.
Beta just started, hold your horses.
It’s the middle of Beta, be patient.
It’s just the first patch, let them cook.
It’s only the middle of the expansion, it’ll get better.
The expansion was just announced, calm down.

I have faith, or I wouldn’t be here. Quitting is really, really, really easy. You can do it for a month, a season, or 13 years.
it’s just your typical knee jerk reaction to the current devs of addons, I bet some of them will come back around once they see things. Give it time.
People on this page hate Blizzard and WoW.. cmon , get with the times!!

I am a big believer that past performance is indicative of future performance.
Faith and Blizzard don’t go together in the same sentence unless the words no and in are also in said sentence.
People should understand that when it reaches alpha, design is already set in stone.
They’ll only make big changes and revert it if it does not perform to their intended design goals, and I’ve never seen a complete overhaul of any spec during testing.
At the very least, it will ship similarly to what is shown in alpha.
The time to be vocal and demand changes is always now, not later.
“Having faith in Blizzard” is one of the stupidest things a person can say/do.
It’s akin to closing your eyes in a futile attempt to dodge the New York city sized flaming ball of firey doom heading your direction.
Midnight will objectively suck. The only question now is “how bad will it suck”.
If it’s not too bad, we’ll keep playing. If it is, we quit.
I mean, we have to wait for P3 for “encounter warnings” ?
It’s been twenty year’s and they still can’t manage to make a decent ui in their own game…
