Addons have been crashing and causing serious lag since phase 2 released

Any thoughts on this or anybody else having this issue? I’ve completely updated them and it still lags out my computer at times and the addons constantly are malfunctioning but worked perfectly fine before phase 2 released.

Blizzard’s motto for phase 2: If it ain’t broke, break it.

I’m not really sure who’s fault it is. The addon developers or if its on Blizzard’s end? But it gets extremely difficult to run addons at times due to these issues.

Oh it’s 100% Blizzard’s fault.

I actually feel bad for the addon dev’s this phase. They have had to roll out new versions of what were extremely stable addons constantly to keep up with everything Blizzard messed with.

Yeah blizzard broke everything. It’s like the interns have bets with each other to see how many bugs they can sneak in without people complaining.

I know that Blizzard have never really been the biggest fan of addons in the first place but I seriously doubt that it was done to purposely sabotage or with malicious intent.

My belief is it’s something to do with the platform they are using for WoW Classic.

Sorry to break into this echo chamber here but I run 35 addons and I am not having any lag issues.

Remove your addons.

If you really want to use them and want them to be fixed, add them back in one at a time, read the error messages and/or logs and figure out which ones are causing issues.

Report those issues somewhere that will get the attention of the add on authors, and hope they fix them, or someone else does.

Follow Axxo’s advice. He’s legit the smartest guy on these forums.

I can’t figure out how to attach a photo/screenshot on here or I would show it.

It could just be one addon that is causing issues for you. Do you have LUA errors on? If so, it will show you which addon is spitting out errors. I think showing these errors is an option somewhere in the interface.

WTB working version of ‘Altoholic’; the ability to know what items I have on my alts is so useful.

Are you using ClassicHealPrediction or Vuhdo?

Its up to the Addon developers to make their addons functional for the current wow patch.
All that I use have and they work no issues except for one which I no longer use.

It is up to the players to update their addons. You would be surprised by the amount of players that do not update their addons.

If you’re getting FPS drops and stutter while using an addon that adds heal prediction to raid frames, you need to manually install an updated LibHealComm-4.0 library.

1.) Go into your Classic > Interface > AddOns folder and find the suspect addon.
2.) Open it and find the libs folder. Delete the LibHealComm-4.0 folder.
3.) Download the latest “A” (alpha) version of this: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/libhealcomm-4-0/files/all
4.) Extract it to the libs folder of the addon you’re fixing.

There’s likely a slew of other issues that are contributing to poor performance in raids since the Ulduar patch but I’m too lazy to spend my time figuring them out and fixing what the addon developers should have already fixed.

I run a total of 17 different addons, and only 2 of them are giving me issues, Auctionator and Bagon, none of which are causing lag, they just simply aren’t working.

I was going to uninstall and clear variables then reinstall. Data hasn’t always been accurate since patch release. Hope that works.

I nuked everything, and that seems to have only made the problem/addon worse.

Before – item counts in character inventory worked, but expiring mail notifications were off

Now – expiring mail notifications seem to be working, but I dont know what stackable items other characters have (which is much more useful when juggling 20 characters in total).

Thank you, the frame skips have been killing me since xpac launch
