Additional Resurrections for Hardcore Deaths due to DDoS - April 10

Over the last day, we have identified and resurrected characters on the Doomhowl realm who died due to circumstances caused by distributed denial-of-service attacks on April 3, 4, and 7. We are done with these restorations, and affected players should be able to select the ghost character on the Doomhowl realm and log into it to complete the process.

Please be reminded:

  • If we decide to restore characters lost to a DDoS attack, we will only restore characters that remain on their Hardcore realm. A character cannot be restored if the character was transferred to another realm.
  • Blizzard Customer Support cannot assist with issues related to characters who have died on Hardcore realms.

Please do not contact Blizzard Customer Support with any inquiries regarding character deaths on Hardcore realms.

My 47 warrior has not been revived and died to DC in combat around/during the DDOS attacks on April 3!!! Doomhowl Horde…please revive. This is second character that died to ddos and first one was never revived either

What about the mass murder that occurred on March 15th?

I guess they did mean “after” those dates as in any date after. It sucks for the rest of us that died on the multiple purges that took out whole raid guilds. But i say if thats the case either go again knowing they dont care or just unsub like so many others.

Personally, I did end up going again, but it’s the principle of it all that’s really bothering me

What about everyone who died due to the March 8th, 12th, 14th, 15th, and 18th DDoS outages? It’s THOUSANDS of players that were affected and lost. You’ve shown that you can identify and address the issue of resurrection from across multiple days of outages within a single workday:

Why do you not resurrect everyone else? It doesn’t seem to be a matter of time or resources at this point in relation to getting it accomplished. It’s just going to cause an everlasting stain on Blizzard’s decision making, and keep the community full of distrust by not resurrecting everyone back to the beginning of the recent problem.

You missed a character, Im still waiting for my rez.

This is the character I have been waiting to get rezzed, and tbh if he doesn’t get rezzed Im pretty much done with blizzard due to incompetence. I will edit this post if I get rezzed.

Please for the love of god revive me or tell me why you aren’t reviving me I can’t stand the wait, I want to play more but god its killing me not knowing if I should just go again or wait for the rez.

Blizzard refuses or is incapable of stopping them.

I also can say this is no longer a hardcore mode and should have a different name without hardcore in the title.

My character died on March 12th to a confirmed DDos attack. This update is frankly infuriating. You have demonstrated that Blizzard has the ability to identify and mass resurrect players affected. Why not allow players who died in prior dates the chance to submit a ticket appeal for the same treatment?

What about characters on Skull Rock who died on the same day in the same attack? My level 43 hunter Tiernagh is still dead.

Did we have to submit some form of post to be eligible for a character to receive ressurect? My mage was a victim of the attacks from the 7th just into the morning on the 8th and still showing as dead on the armory, or will I need to log in to check?

Please rez my Yui i have not been rezzed yet and was a victim of the DDoS attacks. I had transferred my character on the 24th to dreamscythe the same day of the incident before you announced the rollback. Please transfer me back and revive me.

@kaivax why only doomhowl? I died on the 4th to this same attacks on defias pillager… my only 60 my first time making it in hc. Im hanging on by a string here. If ddos is the way it all ends. It all ends with blizzard for me.
