it IS a valid point. if NOT for warband - this would have been a nightmare. You have professions, quest items, now you need parts to make yet another part and then they go and tell you “all that junk you have been selling - NOW you use it to buy pets and other things”.
The BETTER solution is to make everything one of your toons pick up WARBAND and remove the soul bound items.
There’s nothing in this game outside of consumables and a few extra pieces of gear that you need in your bags, anything else is waste of space. I could just have the backpack and never need more bag space.
I’ve made a couple bank guilds in the past on the various realms I’ve played on, and have helped others do it as well. Super easy now with allied races starting IN SW/Org. Some pay gold for sigs, but I never take it since I usually am just making that alt to give a sig and will be deleting it once the guild is formed.
Just go to the guild vendor building in Stormwind/Orgrimmar (In SW it’s in the Trade District, before the gates, where the big lion is sitting out front) and pay the fee to purchase a guild charter. Get 4 signatures from separate accounts (so can’t be 1 person with multiple alts, unless they changed that part). Once you have the sigs, go back and register the guild. Voila! Some ppl will /gquit after the formation, or delete the alts, or you can remove them so it’s just you/your bank alt of choice.
Mmm better suggestion: Buy three real life bags on the Blizzard store, and you can redeem a code for a bag slot in game. Comes with matching in-game bag 1h mace/off-hand/back transmog and an exclusive (but out of date) 33 slot bag.
Maybe throw in a limited time bag-shaped battle pet and price the whole thing at $75, for giggles.
Great question! I have all 36 slot bags and 3 of them are full of stuff. I keep quest items I need as I am working through various quests in SL, Bfa, DF and TWW. I get bored of one particular farm and so rotate it. I am trying to get rid of stuff but then new stuff comes.
I have a set of PVP armor, so I can just flip sets and queue for pvp stuff.
I have my hearthstone and about 5 other ways to move me to a city like the dal ring, brawler’s ring, cloak, etc. I have my BfA necklace, my fishing pole for TWW as I keep my WoTLK fishing pole equipped at all times for the underwater breathing. I also have a fishing helm, fishing hat, some fishing lures. You get the idea.
Then I have potions. Usually about 5 different types of pots on me at one time.
Also since I pet battle a lot I have pet bandages and usually some other pet battle related things.
You would be surprised how much this stuff takes up vs an alt that doesn’t farm stuff and has maybe 8-10 items total in their bags.
@Savagealex - Don’t listen to the naysayers. They live by the code that if they don’t like an idea, none of us should like it.
I’ve been playing WoW since 2008, so for 17 years I’ve got a lot of “stuff” in my bags for partially completed quests, rare items not in game anymore, “fun & silly” items, and some things I’m just waiting to get back to.
Or they go the FF14 route, realize there’s a storage problem and instead of fixing it, they sell you the solution at an extra $2 a month on your subscription and you can do this 7 times for a grand total of $14 extra a month on top of your sub.
