Add GM Jails Into the Game for Warning Players About Rules Violations

Addressed it, you said you don’t get to debate so :person_shrugging: oh well

Not debating it is draconian. One more reason i dont play that crap game.

I’d just be annoyed I was dragged to some instance  Give me my punishment so I can go about my day.

It’s no different than WoW. You don’t get to argue anything.

So does that mean you don’t play WoW since the same thing applies?

Considering some suspensions are unjustified when applied to innocent people, you do have a right to state your side otherwise its a bias on the gms part.

Do when I submit a ticket

We need to be left alone and people need to start using ignore more and leave the GM’s alone for more important things like getting people unstuck ingame etc etc!

That’s why im recommending people keep chat to discord or any non blizzard affiliated system. Its better in the long run and blizzard will have no say in it.

You can scream into the sky, but your comments have absolute no bearing on the outcome of your WoW suspension appeals.

An appeal ticket submitted with no comment is as effective as one submitted with an essay.

And when innocent people get suspended they’ll take their business elsewhere. Blizzard isnt top dog with no competition. They’re already bleeding subs. To deny a person the right to even speak to a gm on the issue is dumb.

I don’t disagree with you, but it’s how it is currently. I was simply pointing that out to you - it’s not just FF14, it’s a WoW issue too.

Then it needs to change. People should have the chance to defend themselves. Thats all im saying.

When you appeal you can certainly state any mitigating factors or errors you think might be in your favor. However, you don’t get to engage in a live back and forth with Blizz. They look over the logs attached to the report and verify that the infraction did occur. Pretty cut and dry. It does not even matter if someone was instigating and you got angry and responded. Don’t let people bait you. Just report them and put them on ignore.

Trying to get argumentative with the GMs via ticket does not usually get them to side in your favor. Either the game logs back the infraction, or they don’t. :woman_shrugging:

Hang out on the CS forum sometimes, you will see people come in with “unjustly banned!” only to have a Forum Support Rep pull the logs and be like “yeah, well you got reported for using X, Y, Z” and the logs back that you did. You also have multiple past infractions hence the current penalty."

On occasion there are errors though which is what appeal is for. A recent one on CS found that the way the RP log reports worked (addon maybe?) the person reporting got penalized instead of the person who was violating the rules. It got fixed.

It should change, yes. But the defense force comes out and says players will be “rules-lawyers” or whatever if they’re allowed to provide your side, because a paying customer arguing their side is bad I guess. :person_shrugging:

:person_shrugging: Don’t go down without a fight.

Considering the one who just linked me when i dont particularly care for those types. Yeah i can see that.

I just dont see how blizzard is being unbiased in their decisions. Which they aren’t. I digress though.

Most of it is pretty cut and dry though. Did you use X slur, profanity, etc? If yes penalty stands. If no, penalty is removed.

You an sometimes get the duration reduced on appeal if you have not had any infractions in a LONG time, but mostly an appeal is just to get them to double check the logs.

Example

If it was something I know I did wrong like profanity or my favorite category “EXTREME SEXUALITY” then :person_shrugging: hand me my punishment and leave me alone. If it is something not clear cut then it’s ticket time :+1:

They don’t even want to tell you the reasoning for their actions.

Because the whole “rules-lawyer” argument again, which IMO is completely silly if they’re just going to ignore your side anyways. Meh.

Wouldn’t be the first time they’ve ignored the players, certainly wont be the last time.
