Blizzard disagrees with you. There’s not a thing in the game that forces players to get S1 gear before S2 before S3, etc.

I feel like we been asking you the same question since you posted this.
Even if you did come up with a requirement to have at least XXX average ilvl, people would just stack the cheapest greens and blue BoEs they could find to get over that threshold so that they could get through the gate to participate in BGs. Players have used this exact method to cheese gearscore and ilvl requirements since the original Wrath
Having a matchmaking system that tried to group players with similar resilience levels together to compete against teams with similar levels would be really nice. But even if I could wave a magic wand and will it into existence it wouldn’t be a cureall. We would still see people AFK or Zerging around in crappy gear.
Your best bet is to relax, focus on yourself and your objectives and offer helpful advice when you think it will help.

The idea that anything changes is hilarious. BUT… imagine if they forced all the fresh 70s/ilvl into the same AV. 40v40 wearing only the boosted green community gear. That would be epic.
You are right, the boost gear should be full brutal, then you don’t have to with about the boosted players

That’s what this thread was always about. OP hates the boost and anyone that uses it. They are just using BGs as a scape-goat to carry out this hate. Not one other point has mattered.
I feel sorry for OP. Must be a miserable life being that garbage of a human-being that you feel the need to stomp on other people’s fun.
But both teams have boosted characters not making a meaningful contribution, so it still evens out.
Not to mention the gear youre farming will be obsolete in a couple months. There’s literally no reason to care.
I will continue queuing AV in my sub 70 DK still wearing all the starter gear. Cope. Everyone is leveling and gearing in AV, and this is a good thing. It’s really brought the community together.
Boosts should have gotten their respective dungeon sets.

basically that was all this post was about. This is the type of person who does gear checks for karazhan badge runs when talents dramatically increase your damage and bosses last less than 3 mins with smaller groups.

Literally no. I do hate that. BGs are inherently more competitive than any PvE content. You’re working with players against a common goal, and since it’s an AI you’re playing against, the necessary efficacy is much lower. You can struggle through a KZ and feel good about it, you can’t struggle to win/carry people through a BG, come up short and feel good about it.
That said, I know any time I’ve played a raid that I’m not equipped to be effective in, I’ve felt bad about it. It’s embarrassing to get carried. It feels like I’m cheating myself out of the game.
Typical PvP player. You’re convinced you’re somehow better than anyone else, and talk down about PvE players. And yet, you’re here, crying with your trash takes because people are boosting and beating you in PvP. Any idea that PvP is somehow worth more, or takes more skill is a complete and utter lie, and is purely there for you to stroke your little ego.

I wouldn’t call myself that. I play pve primarily. I hate that the best way to gear for pve quickly is to spam AV. Absolutely hate it. It encourages awful gameplay.
I think gear bracketing would improve the gameplay.
