Add dynamically boosted exp to dungeons that are not being run

Add dynamically chosen boosted experience to dungeons that see few visitors. Update each boost in 6 hour intervals.

The boost is applied to dungeon based on their rank. There are 36 pre-Wrath dungeons. The 12 least visited dungeons get a 75% experience boost. The 12 middle visited dungeons get a 50% experience boost. The 12 most visited dungeons receive no boost.

These boosts are active at all times, and stack with any future Joyous Journeys buffs applied to the server.

This system is dreamed up as a result of a very old thought process Blizzard mentioned around the time of Naxx 40. They lamented that their team designed content within the game, but very few people saw their great designs. I feel this way about dungeons. Some people can level to 80 and never run 95% of these dungeons. Incentivizing content experience is key.

Here’s how the boost would be distributed, rank numbers are totally made up.

Instance Runs last 6 hours Rank Exp boost
Auchenai Crypts 25 31 75%
Blackfathom Deeps 1 36 75%
Blackrock Depths 75 21 50%

Razorfen Downs 105 15 50%
Razorfen Kraul 65 23 50%
Scarlet Monastery 175 1 0%
Scholomance 30 30 75%

Shadow Labyrinth 135 9 0%
Shadowfang Keep 20 32 75%

The Underbog 45 27 75%
Uldaman 80 20 50%
Wailing Caverns 15 33 75%
Zul’Farrak 35 29 75%

In all major cities, an “Adventurer’s Call” crier NPC can be talked to in order to see what the current experience buff numbers are. A flame icon is also placed next to any boosted dungeon listed in the LFG tool. If the flame is missing, there is no boost. If the flame is yellow, it’s a 50% boost (you can hover the icon to see the meaning of the flame). If the flame is red, the boost is 75%.

Or just add RDF.

No thanks.

This is a great idea.

Unfortunately wow classic has no great devs.

Come back with a bad idea and they might listen.

It seems to be what they are into

In that case:

Add RDF.

nice idea but…people will be people.

They’d run lesser xp dungeons for ease/preference and jsut sneak in a few extra runs.

Like blackfathom depths. In tbcc when leveling I didn’t even see boosters here. they saw no money to be made here I’d gather.

most night elves and draenei rush off to human land. for good reason. Mines and stocks are so close its an easy switch over. mines till out leveled and a 1 minute ride to stocks.

i stayed to see OG night elf story. I came late legion so all I knew was cata night elf story. Now I have seen it all. and jsut sacrificed dungeons runs to do it lol. It was worth it the first time. I liked pre cata night elf experience better.

75% exp would bring people to under ran dungeons.

That’s a huge boost.
