Poodles. They can use the worgen skeleton but they’ll be curly and blonde.

Broken. They were originally on the tauren rig. In Legion they were migrated to m. draenei rig.

Almost like Blizzard had intentions for them at one point.

I’m thinking slightly shorter than worgen, but significantly taller than vulpera. Roughly Brackentide Hollow mob sized.

They’ve got history being melee classes and magic classes… nothing too fancy, just enough for some variety. I feel like a gnoll rogue could be kind of fun, they seem like they’d be the type to try to sneak up on someone, then just spazz out and go completely psycho for a minute until the blood stopped spraying.

Oh and we could be really petty during character creation, have male and female choices but they’re both exactly the same in every way (hyenas are notoriously hard to tell apart).

Edit: Their heritage armor is very clearly mismatched and ill-fitting pieces of other races’ heritage armor that they stole and refused to give back.

That reminds me, I want Withered! At least as an option for Nightborne. It would make them way more interesting to be the one “ugly” elf.

Edit: their heritage armor comes with a selection of white, Phantom of the Opera style masks they use to try to hide their disfigurement in a dignified way. Because, you know, elves.

Venthyr, along with a unique Vampire class! I need a swarm of bats for a flight form, red mist/fog for a burst run, the ability to hover, and a Revendreth Carriage heritage mount.

I’d prefer they kept the Tauren rig, so they look more different standing next to Draenei.

My favorite race with a shared rig would probably be Saurok. They use the Worgen rig.

But others are

Jinyu and Ankoan, Night Elf rig

Mogu, Draenei rig

Saberon, Worgen rig

Kobyss, Worgen rig

Shadowlands Fauns, Draenei rig

Since Blizzard insists on reusing rigs I’m not sure why we haven’t gotten one of these instead.

A million percent should have been the allied race instead of lightforged.

Lightforged should have been a barbershop cosmetic set for every race. Wholesale recruitment of literally anyone willing and even unwilling is like the whole shtick for The Army of the Light.

Broken should have definitely been the allied race.

  • Sethrak with Worgen skeleton/base models
  • Ankoan and Jinyu with Night Elf skeleton/base models
  • Mok’Nathal with Kul Tiran skeleton/base models
