5% bonus. I can only image the utter chaos this would bring to min max mythic scene.

Only married couples apply to group

Hot take: if blizzard cared less about what min maxers thought and just focused on making what was fun this game would be in much better shape.

ok, well to that I respond: nothing about e-marriage is fun.

I’m glad they’re not focusing on it?

No. People would do it just for the perks. You’re perfectly capable of just having it for RP. We don’t need to turn this game into a soap opera where people feel they have to marry someone for stat bonuses and bank slots and the like. That breeds drama.

They never added in guild housing because it’s just too much of a request to handle properly. Ion said they revisit the idea every year but eventually it’s just scrapped because they’re focusing on other elements in the game.

Player housing would probably be the last thing they’d do and even then player garrisons were a sad time. Everyone cooped up in their garrisons and rarely coming out to do anything in the real world.

And you can’t have a 5% bonus stat or anything extra for something that should be purely RP. That doesn’t work well for end-game content.

Raids and dungeon exist in WoW because that’s what WoW is. You grind and level and experience the world and eventually you get to kill the hard bosses.
It’s never solely focused on the more hardcore RP that you want and in the direction that the game is going - it won’t be anytime soon.

This won’t end well :scream:

It never does every time it comes up. LOL

This thread again… from the same person, no less.

For the ten millionth time, no. Go play The Sims if you want to get married and have kids in a video game.

NO!! Youd then demand divorce systems with alimony and other payouts … WHat we have is fine now. Let it go

This would just open the door for even more BS in this game.

I’d bet my HOUSE this never comes to pass, haha.

I do like Aviela’s bubbly personality. And her toon is so cute…which means it’s probably a dude but that’s okay.

Nope, nope, nope. So all players must be married.

If you want something for RP, it provides zero stat, zero utility, pure RP.

But, we don’t even have last names, so… come on.

Because the rp community for better or worse is the minority. This is probably something for the developer of that rp mod. Blizz is definitely more invested with esports than the rp aspect of an rpg strangely enough because that’s what keeps the lights on. Either way you can’t ask for stats without the non-rp players going in uproar. A physical buff (or debuff amirite?) That does nothing but just display you are married would be neat.

I’m all for it. OP owes me alt support for the past 16 months, at a 23% increase of 15’000 gold a month. I would like them to pay in full.

This. Lol, considering how many players don’t even talk in the game and only group up for rewards, can you imagine how non-RPers would go about the marriage function just for that 5% bonus and extra bank slots?

Players 1 & 2 barge into the embassy to get their marriage license.

Clerk of the Court NPC: “Congratulations, you are now wedded–”

Player 1: “Cool, thx.”

Player 2: “Np.”

Both players then fly off on their separate ways, never to speak again.

Even if you only got the bonus while you were near each other, as OP suggests, we’d still have full mythic raid teams of married couples.
