Add 1 Plaguebloom and 1 Silversage node to Dire Maul, fixes overpriced botted herbs

Three things in response to this…

  1. Does it matter? If you want to pick your own herbs, what 40 multiboxers do is irrelevant to you. If you want to buy your herbs, prices will be cheaper for you.
  2. Gameplay automation is still against the rules, so if someone is playing 40 accounts at the same time they will have to do so manually.
  3. This is still better than not being able to pick a herb because the bot or gold farmer is picking those herbs all day, every day, making it extremely difficult for you to get your own.

The only way this is a negative change to you is if you are a gold farmer, then this will hurt your bottom line. To that, I say, “WoW is for the players, not for the farmers.”

You haven’t seen the 6 groups of 40 bots herbing have you?

It’s why I will never support the multi tag nodes

remember when everyone was begging for more black lotus :expressionless: and i said if blizzard gives in, soon everyone will be begging for more of every herb :expressionless: and everyone told me, no, that would never happen

That’s how I got my epic mount.
Rather, foresight instead of consume spam.

I got a recipe from the Christmas event and sat on it for a bit before selling it for 600g.

Yea, I have… back in BfA. It had zero impact on me. Like at all. I went about my business collecting herbs for myself while they ran around collecting herbs for who knows what (presumably AH sale).

However, since then, multiboxing rules have changed. You’re no longer allowed to automate the gameplay of your other accounts from your main one. So that group of 20+ druids flying around the zones all picking the same herb at the same time are now in violation of the ToS. If someone wants to do that they will need to manually click the herb on each and every one of their accounts.

So while it was absolutely a non-issue for anybody actually playing the game back when gameplay automation was a permitted gameplay choice, it’s absolutely a non-issue now. I’m sure you’ll get a few enterprising folks giving themselves carpal tunnel picking herbs that way for a while, but again… so what? You’ll still be able to pick your herbs.

Lmao

Botting is against the ToS. Yet we still have them.

Do you think a botter cares if 40 accounts get banned after running them for 2 weeks? They’ve made the cost of the fees back plus 500% extra.

Plus, it takes months for bans to happen.

There’s still multiboxers in AV ranking 5 accounts at once.

I reported some months ago, when generation 1 rank 14 grind was happening. They never got banned, they hit rank 14. It was 5 multiboxing mages doing arcane explosions.

Agreed that Blizz’s effectiveness against bots leaves a lot to be desired, but if your goal is to point out the impact that bot play has on the player, remember that they can currently deny your ability to pick in the open world. With multi-tap nodes, to use your term, they can’t do that anymore.

However, I had assumed we were talking about the legitimate player choosing to run multiple accounts for profit, which was a valid gameplay choice in the BfA era. That is no longer the case. So if you see 40 players running around on follow picking the same herb, report them and get your entire guild to report them. It’s the best you can do

However, considering you can still pick the herb, how does them picking it impact you?

If they were all doing simultaneous arcane explosions, they should get banned and see above. If they were doing it one at a time (ie, a player is tabbing between them and pressing it manually), then it’s permitted.

Def should put them right at the entrance. It will solve botting overnight!
