So just got an ad on YouTube (video ad at the beginning, not just a banner ad) advertising for classic character leveling and it raised a few questions.
- Isn’t using one of these services still against the terms of service and bannable?
- If so who would you report this to Blizzard or YouTube?
- Or does it not matter since it vanilla and not retail?
Just seemed so bold and almost surreal to see something like that ad in 2019 with algorithms being the way they are.

Don’t think this is reportable by you, since it’s not breaking any laws.
Only you can tell if this matters to you or not. If people want to put their accounts at risk, then that is on them. I have an authenticator so it’s all good.
You can report the company selling the service to blizzard and the ad itself to YouTube.
But don’t expect much to be done honestly.
I flagged/reported the ad. Don’t want a kid or someone who doesn’t know better to get the ad while looking up a bee mount guide to see it. One thing for the service to exist another for it to be presented as legit/allowed. Hopefully YouTube will stop showing it.
