All the game companies are making games like that. Even console games have their loot boxes and the more you pay the more stronger you can get (or look more cooler).
I think wow is still one of the games that is resisting for so long to become like that.
We’re past the age where you bought a game and then the game was that and there was no loot box (or greater vault).
I’d rather play games on Steam like Deep Rock Galactic that are fun and aren’t nearly as predatory.
Sorry, not “all the game companies” are doing something like that. And I wouldn’t excuse it, ever.

Not bad I guess…but in real life last year if you convert it to a 40 hour work week job I made 45 bucks every 15 minutes… convert that into tokens.

You have to search really hard to find companies not doing that.
I guess that’s why I’ve stopped giving AAA developers my attention, then. I don’t play any other Blizzard games than WoW.
Hearthstone is dead to me because of the new currency they added, as well as OW2.
gaming will die if people stop investing in AAA games

Not a bug, but an exploit. Either way, it’s not good sign for the health of the game.

In an MMORPG, everything is different.
Your actions affect others. For example, if the Cobalt thing took off, who would be there to do dungeons? And then the people who aren’t doing Cobalt Assembly suffer for not doing it.
The world needs people in it for group content.
You can exploit all you want in Elden Ring, but you’re alone so it doesn’t matter nearly as much.
That’s why i asked Blizzard to nerf Cobalt and for boosting issues too
and yes exploit kinda matter in Elden ring for speedrunners
