Actions Taken to Address Exploitative Gameplay

I havent seen any accounts of your claim being accurate and you refuse to show any evidence to back it. Time to be written off.

Thankfully there are a number of reasonable players I can have this discussion with.

“Banwave”… How about a real fix to this issue?

You said you have “powerful systems”.

Factum non verba.

Damage control: the thread.

lmao

I wasn’t punished thank you very much.

its 30 per 24 hours i do 15 yesterday night and now 15 today im locked out for raid yay me .

Now pay people to do this WEEKLY. Not once every year or two. We are paying you premium subs monthly, you sell the bejeezus out of store mounts and services, your CEO is one of the highest paid in the entire corporate world and you cannot be bothered to shell out enough income to pay people to cover the most basic ethical violations in the game.

People like myself used to praise you for your bot ban waves. Now you are 99% PR scripts and 1% action. You are all talk most of the time. Your brands are cheapened and damaged heavily.

Sure- there will be tons of superfans who worship you guys as demigods. I know you are just human and I know the problem is with the parent company.

No. Activision does not tell Blizzard what to do. But Activision Blizzard sure as hell rules you guys.

Just over your addiction to media training, glib business jargon, and insulting PR blabbering.

There is a such thing as being so open minded you develop mind blindness and become gullible/deluding yourself.

This got so out of hand and you never did a thing until streamers and media called you out.

Now commence, superfans of the mighty Blizzard. Enable more of their abusive, neglectful behavior towards customers. Afterall- our wallets are THEIRS.

Ridiculous that you let this go on and on for so long.

I just wanna say to Blizz: thanks!

For the complainers …

$15 sub per month * 74,000 people = $1,110,000 per month that Blizz just gave up on… That’s over $13,320,000 per year that they potentially gave up on. Not to mention the costs for the detection and prevention systems/processes.

All that money they just gave up… that they didn’t have to give up.

So before folks complain and cry foul, or say “it’s not enough” or whatever. Folks should appreciate/recognize the efforts Blizz has been making on this w/o immediately cr@pping on them… They’re eating their own dog food on this one to do right by their customers… the decent response to this thread should be a thanks, and maybe some constructive feedback/suggestions/recommendations vs. a “now gimme this other thing i want. Gimme, gimme, gimme!”.

Regarding the 30 instance limit: as already pointed out by others, the ban wave did not get rid of all farmers… and yes there is still a point to be made by doing a ban wave that does not 100% fix the problem. you’re never gonna get to a 100% solution… that is why the 30 instance limit is still needed. I bet you the folks asking for the removal of the ban would be the same folks asking for it to be back in place once they started to get outpaced, out sold, and out marketed by bots en mass w/o the 30 limit.

Just my $.02.

Peace.

It’s their way of saying ‘We actually didn’t ban anyone. They just made a character with that name and got it leveled and geared back up to resemble the exact same character that didn’t really get banned, you just thought they did.’

Some would say that it adds ‘weight’ to your argument. Look, I totally get that you don’t play classic - and that’s fine. Retail is… well, retail is retail. You can have your opinions. But opinions from actual classic players just mean more.

It’s like if some random guy watching football at home has an opinion on a game. That’s fine and all but an opinion from one of the players in the game would garner much more clout.

They do not refund the sub money. You can start a botting spree with one account on retail. Make a DH trial sent it to the bontanica have it farm some gold for days then use the golden to buy tokens and create an entire self sufficient bot army. Once the army is up some can be in classic and in retail at the same time farming for gold to sell in classic and for game time in retail. They also get $20 from real players for wow token time. They didnt lose a thing.

Remove the 30 instance resets per day.

It doesn’t. My words are what give my arguments “weight”.

I do though, but you don’t get to tell people “switch to your other toon and PROVE yourself to me.”

You don’t get that right.

Edit: Let me put it another way.

If Neil DeGras Tyson and Bob, the drunk and the end of the bar were both weighing in on a subject, I wouldn’t ask Neil to whip out his Doctorate.

Listening to the both of them take, it would be pretty clear which one knew what they were talking about WITHOUT asking them for their credentials.

Get rid of multi boxers. Yeah they control 1 account but the other 4 are automated.

I use anywhere from 10-15 per week depending on how sweaty we’re going, which amounts to 30-50 Gnomer runs.

Good! Thanks for keeping it real.

Thank you for doing this. Now please remove the 30 instance/day cap. We’re paying to be able to play the game and do not need these restrictions.

It not enough, it only almoust half of the salary of special someone working there…
