Actions Taken to Address Exploitative Gameplay

Of course it is. They don’t think it’s silly, but won’t defend it.

I already unsubbed for when I accidentally hit it today. you can say you don’t care I didn’t think i would now I’m locked our for no clue how long. not coming back unless reverted. can’t even play the game I’m pay a MONTHLY sub all day wtf???

That person’s posts for the past day or so have been so poorly thought out I almost ignore everything he/she says.

Yeah, this is a huge issue too. There’s nothing in game to track it and it’s for 24 hours. It’s not a short lockout. So people can inadvertently hit it for any number of reasons.

That’s generally the best response to them.

I don’t even know why I hit it I didn’t think I was close

To be honest, with how badly Blizzard handles knee jerk changes that aren’t tested by the community, I assume it bugged and you got locked out even without doing the 30.

Also, does it still retain the 5 per hour? Or can you do all 30 in one sitting? Did they ever explain this?

It’s not hard to hit. If you play multiple characters and run dungeons and/or farm for specific items or gear it’s easy. During the week it isn’t an issue for me, but on Saturday or Sunday it’s a major inconvenience.

yes it’s still 5 per hour too

Not sure, but I believe it retains the 5 per hour with the 30 total in a day.

That’s 6 sets of dungeons. Not an issue when leveling as much as when farming an item. I was hoping to farm Slaghide Gauntlets of the Monkey/Tiger out of LBRS, but will have to be satisfied with doing only 30 attempts one day. It’s a rare drop with a random chance at the stats I want…yeah 30 is a slap in the face.

What a pointless change.

-Bot Problem in WoW
-Players complain
-Blizzard applies symptom coverage
-Q2 reporting ends
-Banwave

I am sure they will have enough time to get their banned accounts in order come time for Q3. I wouldnt be surprised if Blizzard invited bots to WoW before quarterly earnings are reported.

Most likely. Blizzard did release a statement saying they banned something like 76k accounts - but again, it’s just their word and we have to see if that has a lasting impact. It most likely won’t.

Atleast enable player transfers now to different realms. My main is sitting in a dead realm and i cannot transfer him due to transfer lock on that realm. But you are allowed to create new toons even if realm is tagged as “Full”. In that case, you should allow player transfers and now since the banwave, the population would have atleast dropped a bit.

You already did. You limited my playtime to 6ish hours per day by limited how many dungeons I can run per day.

I’m a legitimate player, effectively banned from farming for 18 hours of the day.

Dude, if you’re this cynical and unhappy, it’s probably time to move on to something else.

Well, at least they’ve addressed this plague

They only managed to ban 74k a month. NetEase is banning 100-120k a week. Nothing is fixed they are short another 300k bans.

It’s amazing anyone believes a word you guys say. You don’t want botters to figure out how you’re doing it so you don’t release info. Maybe because you literally don’t do anything. Maybe Activision has gone to you guys and said. Look botters make us a lot of money, we want to show the public that we are banning bots but we need to do it in a way botters keep buying subscriptions. We ALL know that’s whats going on here. We all have seen how good of a job your anti cheat detection has done the last 15 years. Your bluepost saying what you did and then me logging on, on top of a bot, with multiple bots running around IS PROOF of what you’re doing. GOT to have that good PR for that sweet money right? https://www.reddit.com/r/classicwow/comments/hbai9r/saw_they_banned_bots_logged_in_on_top_of_a_bot/ You guys are a joke.

Might that have anything to do with Chinese culture and population differences

Or the quality of customer service. They list it weekly transparently. No months of radio silence. No just trust me bro we do it wont provide proof. When Blizzard finally responds their monthly total is less than the weekly total of NetEase running the same game.
