It does matter because they are two separate entities that your are choosing to ignore.
The organization, the people who own it etc are not the same as the community who participated. If you did not participate in RMT you will not be banned. If you do a carry for gallywix in the FUTURE you will be. It’s very simple.
I met many friends, allies, mentors, and great people in this community none of which trade gold for real money. We provided services that players could not handle themselves and it has been a blast doing so. For those suspected, please do bring them to justice. But this is not a community sentiment. What I need BLIZZARD to tell me is. even IF gallywix sends me that gold for carries I’ve already done. should I send it back? will I get banned for taking that gold? and same goes for my guild.
Like all this needs to be clarified by blizzard.

Sounds kinda vague, doesn’t affect me but I can see where the vagueness lies. That said I’m only speculating but there must of been a bit more than a few and just as with any community or group or guild or company… any big NO NO’s kind of goes down the chain to show they are firm on the matter.
I’m just going to say that the combination of the above strongly implies that only the people involved in rmt are banned, and that gallywix is still allowed to exist as long as they stop selling gold. It also says nothing about selling carries for real money, only gold, ergo there were likely people who were using the gold that the organization earns to make money for themselves.
I’m not ignoring them at all, lol. It sounds like you’re saying that the community members won’t be doing carries under the Gallywix name anymore. That’s pretty much making my point for me, unless you’re suggesting its members will still attempt to use it? But can’t see why they would because the name is tarnished, so that’s still basically my point.
So can we get some clarification Blizzard? What should people expecting payment from Gallywix do if they receive gold from them? Players want their gold they earned but they also don’t want to be banned.
Name yourself after a goblin with loose morals and then take large amounts of management cut for X reasons.

If Gallywix owes you gold and they give it to you, good for you. If they don’t give it to you, there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s a video game. You don’t get payment insurance. You let them owe you money at your own risk.
my guild does not involve ourselves with rmt. but boosting services for gold has been a way for us to supplement our gbank, and while i can’t speak for other guilds I’m sure a lot of em do as well.
As long as this doesn’t hurt guilds or players/communities that legitimately do it. The general populace are always looking to bring others down ultimately and i think that the punishment dished out should not extend to hurt communities in general that do carries to supplement their guilds to raid.

Its completely fair for us to ask blizzard to clarify their stance on this whole thing. If boosting communities in general are not allowed or if we are allowed to continue doing carries as long as we personally arent doing RMT.

We are aware that gallywix might not do payouts. What we wanna know from blizzard is that should we even take that gold IF they do give it to us?

Not sure how i feel about advertising for sales now, of course we don’t do RMT but this is a pretty troubling post regarding advertising sales.
