blizzard is a company that wants to make money.mobile gamers will spend more then pc gamers.
its where gaming is headed.
Gaming isn't headed to mobile, dude. It's never going to be mobile. I don't care how "good" the capability is, it's not going to happen. PC and console gaming will always ALWAYS be the dominant force in serious gaming, and mobile is for people who are just in for cash grabs. Tell me one mobile game of any note that has any real success in the gaming community insofar as stable playerbase, community involvement, esports, streaming, etc? I'll wait.
Why the hell didn't you just use Warcraft then? This was literally the one mature rated IP you have.
Like you're sure as hell not going to get Diablo Fan parents to push this on their kids.
Like it's one thing to enter a new audience, but now it doesn't sound like you're using your brand recognition at all
Because in china you can't depict heavy gore, etc. They want that chinese money. They don't give a DAMN about any other region anymore. They've become entitled, greedy, and spiteful. Screw this company.
Makes sense, but still sounds like they should've used a different IP then. Don't see the point in using Diablo.
its where the money is now why worry about some one paying $15 a month when some one will pay $15 a day?you cant fault a company for wanting to make money.
They've made billions without this model, and you think somehow they need to let everything that has made them successful die in favor of these cheap quick bucks? Mobile games aren't built for longevity, they're built for boom-bust transactions and survive MAYBE a year. I can, in fact, fault them for spitting in the face of the people who have made them the success they are over 20 years by loyal purchases.
it doesnt matter how mad you get or what you say.they are going to make as much money as they can if you dont like it dont play any blizzard games.thats all i can tell you.
We can't expect ActiBliz to ignore the mobile market. We should know anything that can make them more $ will get their attention at this point. My concern is with the lack of tact with the unveiling of this mobile game. I'm not even a big Diablo fan but even I was dissapointed with the D mobile game..
To have a good idea of how they screwed up the announcement, read this article https://www.ign.com/articles/2018/11/07/diablo-immortals-reveal-was-an-unnecessary-mess
It sums it up nicely and oddly enough, I was telling my gamer buddies the same thing before even reading that article.. It just seems like a no brainer to me..
Blizzard: Can we have your money to make games that you will enjoy? Customers: To make games we will enjoy? Blizzard: Yeeeeesssss.. Blizzard: *Actually makes garbage mobile games like a boss!* DISAPPOINTMENT TIME!

You realize that when you give them money .... its for something they already made? Right?

Oh I agree. I think this is going to sink them. If they seriously think they can sustain themselves with a highly competitive chinese mobile market by pandering to their rules and regulations, they've got another thing coming. I seriously hope they fail miserably for slapping the rest of us in our faces.

They don't have to ruin established IPs for it, though. They don't need their best devs on mobile while ignoring the entire rest of their games, which are steadily losing people for the utter garbage it keeps putting out.

so what just throw your hands up?
Mobile gaming makes money because it's maliciously aggressive at praying on those who are prone to gambling addiction. Not because it actually is superior.
I'd say that's a Cause worth fighting against. Not letting walk all over you.

there is NOTHING you can do about it blizzard will do what they want to do.all you can do is accept or dont play blizzard games.
Actizzard will continue to milk people's nostgalia. While switching their "best devs" to mobile projects. I could be wrong, but think its safe to say blizzard the company we loved is totally gone.
