why so we can have janky combat like they do. and considering he stole most of his ideas from blizz sure whats he really going to do for us we all know he sure ain’t improving pvp. oh wait he might keep all content relevant but after playing it so many times you start falling asleep i don’t need old wow questing back where when you talk to quest givers your standing there waiting on them to finish. the game as it sits is trash compared to this still unless you just like doing arr ya right. to bad everyone is actually seeing the community now and knows it’s the same gamer toxicity as everyone else omg where so nice here ya right.

I love it when he said “No Pay To Win”!

you mean hire a one-trick pony who ends up becoming worshipped and a bannable offense the second you call him a hack?

Being inspired and stealing are two very different things.

whats his one trick

creating ARR

ARR, heavensward, shadowbringers.

He’s also making Final Fantasy 16

OR they could maybe accept the complaints are valid and work to address them. Not all of course (cause some are loony).

No, why would Yoshi-P even want to go near this cr@pfest?

Yoshi P has said that FFXIV is his life’s work. So I don’t think he’d leave.

However, and this is just a personal opinion I think that Blizzard should take a page out of Yoshi P’s book.

They should make their devs play WoW. When Yoshi and his team were developing ARR (A Realm Reborn the game that ‘saved’ ffxiv for those who don’t know) he made the Devs play WoW to see what a successful MMORPG felt like. This was during Cataclysm and MoP.

I feel like they need to take a page from FFXIV’s playbook and actually play World of Warcraft. Both the current state of Retail, and TBC. It feels like the DeV team doesn’t even play their own game. I sometimes find myself moving through WoW and wondering who thought this design was fun or not a chore? Did they actually engage with these systems and quest? Or did they just make sure they worked?

I feel like Blizzard has forgotten what made WoW such a great game- It was a good casual game yeah, but it excelled in really fun questing, Dungeons, and Raids. It doesn’t need to keep making convoluted systems or expansion gimmicks.

Granted this is a personal opinion but. Eh. To me Yoshi P might fix it, but the devs could if they’d just start listening and going back to basics in the right way.

Lol, he’s Japanese. He’s not leaving SE no matter what you offer him.

He didn’t make the original game, they fired the lead guy who did and hired on Yoshi P to fix it.

Oh boy having someone who can learn from their mistakes, listen to their player base, and build a product from six feet under the ground all the way till it reaches the number one MMO face truly seems like a bad call you are right lol.

We need to hire more people to spit on the community and tell us to stop crying when they produce a bad product.

Speaking of which, here is Yoshi P on the recent problem of people not being able to make new characters:

As producer, the responsibility for being unable to predict the current influx of new players falls to me. The days before an expansion’s launch are supposed to be ones of excitement, but instead they’ve brought many players grief, and for that I, personally, am extremely sorry.

Then he laid out all of the technical and logistical reasons why they were having trouble upgrading the servers (shortage of parts, travel restrictions in Japan, etc).

Could you ever imagine Blizzard saying anything like this? It feels super weird to be playing a game where I feel like the devs actually value you as a customer.

No I can’t what so ever. Blizzard doesn’t do that type of thing anymore, they just blame us or say get over it.

This is why when SE makes a mistake its completely fine but when blizzard does its a huge mess.

Like it’s so hard to be mad at a person who admits their own faults and strives for the best. Buts it’s super easy to be mad at the person who tells you to go kick rocks and spits in your face

He calls “FFXIV” his literal life’s work.

Giving that up, just to once again be tasked with fixing someone else’s mess would be quite a poor decision.

He’s also executive producer on FFXVI.

I don’t think anyone would do that to come
 here.

Yeah, we know you don’t know. We knew that from your original comment.
