Hey CS team. My account was recently suspended for: “Recent activity shows that a user on this account acquired gold through illicit means, such as gold buying, botting, or participating in other real-money transactions. As a result of this activity we have suspended this account until 2025/11/18.”
I am very anti gold buying, including GDKPs so this came as a shock to me. I appealed it and it was denied. Is there a way I can have this looked at?

If you appealed that was ‘having it looked at’. You can appeal until they let you know that no more appeals will be reviewed.
Unfortunately, due to so many bad players in action, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you knowingly participated in an illegal transaction.
If you’ve traded/swapped gold, if you’ve been on the receiving end of illegal gold for a direct sale, if you’re someone who automatically opens and receives mail from the AH and someone decided to send you illicit gold in the midst of mass mail opening - these are also all ways you could have earned this sanction.
Since you were suspended and not banned, that usually means you were not the direct point of illegal gold being brought into the game, but that you were likely unknowingly the receiver of such gold.
Do note you can be actioned for unknowingly receiving illicit gold. Blizzard started doing this to deter gold buyers since it would hit anyone who was a pass through or did business with them. You can give feedback about that policy if you’d like - just explaining their current policy.
That being said, you can keep appealing until the account actions page doesn’t let you anymore or they tell you to stop. Every new appeal is a new set of eyes on the action.
You are welcome to appeal, Meezer, but it appears you did receive gold from an exploitive account.

If ur gona swap gold dont donit with a lvl 1 ton for a big ammount of gold.

Swapping gold between different versions of the game is banned.
She didn’t say you bought gold, but that you received it. That means that something sold, a service or item, (NOT from the Auction House) was paid for with stolen/illicit gold. People who recieve dirty gold through unsupported actions are now held accountable as well.
Also if you’re going to do carries or something like that, at least insist they trade on their main and not a low level alt. Won’t guarantee they didn’t buy the gold, but it can be a filter.
I did not swap gold or anything like that. Also for context blizzard should see my account is super old and as far as I know I’ve never got a suspension before. I didn’t just suddenly decide to break the rules. I’m a chronic rule follower.

If you received gold from a player on a retail server and then traded gold with them on a classic server, Blizz considers this gold buying. I’m not sure why or if you actually did this. It’s just a heads up. My son was suspended for this. He had no idea that it was disallowed.
You did a direct sale/trade and received illegal gold. You didn’t buy gold. If you had, you would be banned, not suspended.

Please understand that there are no GMs here. Your only option is to appeal the account action the same way you put your first appeal in.
But the blue poster said things specific about what they believed to have happen. How did they get that information?
Meezer, I am not a GM, but I do have access to the same tools and can look at accounts and notes.
Our Support Forum Agents (SFAs in blue), are Blizzard employees, but they do not handle appeals. They’re certainly amazing, but you have to follow the same process everyone else does when appealing.
Oooh okay. Also you’re cool I’ve interacted with you a handful of times over the years. Anyway any suggestions on how I can appeal this? Besides “pretty please Blizzard.” Or something.
