why change what is not broken? is that what you are asking?
let’s see:
for 14-ish years we were able to power level alts with 2 or more accts, or power level a friend or guildie or even a complete stranger. but this was “fixed” when the 1st set of allied chars were introduced and accessible to level up. when the devs realized players were reaching lv 110 in a few days and acquiring the achievements for the allied char too fast (in their opinion) they “fixed” what has not been broken for 14 years.
heirlooms: we have had access to them since WoL; worked fine and widely accepted. if players wanted them, they earned them thru rep (or thru pvp); then they were upgraded via guild rep; and finally with gold. still working as intended. then a few people cried and the devs “fixed” the heirlooms from a high blue item to a “light blue” item and reduced all stats on them - yes, the exp bonus was retained, surprisingly enough
the lists go on, but not gonna bother - plenty of white knights will jump to the devs rescue soon enough.
point is, anything that makes sense and is NOT broken, gets fixed soon enough. much to the demise of the majority of players.
That’s the scary part here; we IMMEDIATELY flagged it as the devs going behind our backs to make changes we don’t want. We don’t trust them. They should be VERY concerned that they’ve put everyone in this situation.
Right? And there are still things I enjoy doing in this game right now, but they are doing everything in their power to drive people away. I have no issue paying a sub, but I have an issue with giving money to a dev team that doesn’t care about the people who actually play this game. Everything they are doing is turning into an inconvenience to the players, as well as forcing players to play the game exactly how the devs want the players to play. If you don’t want to play their way, you’re just wrong. Blizzard, just stop. You’re embarrassing yourself.
This issue appears resolved on the current 8.2 PTR.
Tested it using Warlock’s [Demon Skin] talent. Daze/dismount protection lasts until the absorb is depleted, the same way it does on live. Thank you Blizzard!
