She likes pokemon and animal crossing.
So what version do yall think is better for a person into those games?

Retail has pet battles which is sort of like Pokemon.
Right im leaning to retail honestly.
She used to play runescape , Mario kart, smash, Mario party
If shes goes retail dont make her play a blood elf
Retail has a more gradual learning curve, and leveling is faster.
You could have her watch you play Classic at some point (assuming you both have different machines) and see if it piques her interest.
Definitely retail in my opinion.
Though no harm in trying both!
Classic is more fun for new players, the leveling process is engaging and provides an array of challenges and social experiences.
If she plays retail you’re going to have to wean her onto instanced content fast.
Vanilla caters more to people who want the grindy gritty working for it type of RPG.
Retail has a lot more user friendly features, things flowing smoother and catering a bit more to a casual gamer. Though some people feel convenience elements have diluted the social aspect they developed in a classic style environment.
Retail.
If she’s a casual gamer, I’d say retail. Classic has its appeal but it’s not as beginner friendly.

One other thing – Retail has the trick-or-treating of Hallows’ End. If she really likes collecting pets, she’ll want the ones from the holiday.
Let her try both and determine which style she likes the most. She may surprise you and enjoy the one you least expect.
Why are you asking the forums instead of her? If I had to guess, the more likely scenario is she probably has no desire to play either.
Classic doesn’t have pet battles.
well played
Mine just got into WoW. Definitely do retail. The target audience these days is women.
Say what now?
Retail is honestly probably a safer bet. But it depends on her personality. Classic is much more punishing than retail, but retail is also much more intricate. There are finer things to learn from both versions, but retail wont frustrate her as much.
Let her try both and let her decide. She might surprise you.
