They just don’t have the coders for it.
Probably because the forums are 30-40 people and their alts,
still playing on Pentium II’s through a payphone.
For a week? Eh not likely. I think they got so used to not having the servers optimized for the traffic or they secretly didn’t upgrade them to save money, that it overloads them now that we have a lot of people doing something (specifically rifts)
I’m noticing mostly npc interaction lag when questing, I have to walk away from and npc and talk to them again cause it doesn’t always work the first time

Now the players are using the excuse Blizz always uses when the servers crash.

The lag on my end comes and goes…and half the time its my joke provider (spectrum), not the game.
Heck d4 was fine til the seasonal event started. Now I’m ping ponging all over the place
Windows 10 update KB5028166 has been causing mayhem for the last couple of days for PC gamers and enterprise customers alike.

I have this update, and WoW is the only thing I am noticing issues with.
So, not really sure I can agree it’s a windows update’s fault…
Don’t take my word for it. The enterprise level IT professionals would be a better source. 
Don’t take this as a personal attack… because it’s not meant as one…
But I put more stock in what I personally experience, rather than what the “professionals” are saying is happening…
I have experienced zero issues with the latest update of Windows, and the fact that only ONE game/program seems to be having any issues (and I was noticing issues with WoW long before the last Windows update), then I personally have doubt as to what they are saying.
People say a lot of incorrect things in the media all the time.
It is the normal.
i was having issues with my taskbar instantly closing upon opening for a couple days as well.
when it comes to computers…computers don’t care about your personal ancedotes since it means absolutely nothing. also it professionals have a lot more credibility than some random internet person saying “NOTHING’S HAPPENED TO ME MUST NOT BE A PROBLEM.”
