I was curious if we would ever be able to remove certain spells from the SBA rotation? I’m disabled and can use the help but I also know certain situations I don’t want to cast a spell. It won’t leave the screen until I press it. Would be great if we could. Thanks!
Most likely not, the skills are baked in and it’s part of the tradeoff for using the system. This also wouldn’t be anything Customer Support would have any insight into as they are not developers.
You’re welcome to make the suggestion about which specific spell you’d like to see removed over in your class specific forum. If you just wanted to make a general suggestion for the ability to remove any spell you wanted, you can do that in the general forum or by using the in game suggestions box.

From what I’ve read, the inability to edit the ORB rotation is intentional, given it’s intended to exclusively be accessibility.

We’ll see. Quite clearly OBR is used much more frequently than for just accessibility reasons. The general trend is to making WoW easier to play.
I don’t know that I’ve seen it mentioned via official channels that it’s an accessibility feature so much as just a baked in version of the Heliki addon.
But it was intentionally hamstrung as to not be equally-as or more optimal than playing the traditional way, evidenced by the GCD increase of 0.2 seconds when using the OBR.
If Ion’s stated intent to not simplify gameplay holds true, it is unlikely that an ability toggle will see development.
