Voldun right now is pretty bad. Delay in everything, running before mounted, current mount takes off from taxi before swapping to taxi mount.

09/06/2018 09:46 PMPosted by DrakulothWe were able to get a bit of info with that brief hiccup - anybody still experiencing it before we sign out for the night and hand off to Europe for an assist?
What happened to getting the EU crew to check in on us and assist during our peak time?
and hand off to Europe for an assist?
EU was nowhere to be seen.
We had noone at all following up in peak times...unbelievable. No one. How can they hope to fix this when theres no one around when the issue is at its worst?
So what now?
Hey again all.
Thanks for the continued reports. We got several more data points overnight. Keep letting us know and we'll keep sending folks to get the details we need. Keep in mind that Europe doesn't have posting permission on the US forums - they were just watching the thread and emailing us the info as you all reported things. Sorry for any confusion there - I probably could have made that a bit more clear.

Drakuloth, can you ban the trolls from the thread please? They aren't helping an already frustrating situation.
We will all appreciate it immensely.

09/07/2018 03:43 AMPosted by KyarleeCould be because OCE servers are based in Aus with the poor internet, possibly? Not sure if they are, but that'd explain why its still slow in OCE but not in Aus and slower in Aus
No, it has no obvious connection to our NBN (and I don't find it 'poor' personally). As others have mentioned, we have no issues with other games or use of the internet and we don't even have poor latency and home/world ms which could be directly correlated to internet issues. Our latency/ms is absolutely normal. What we have is lag spikes in certain places at certain times.
My own experience with the GM who asked to follow me around Arathi and some other BfA zones yesterday indicates that yes, they are investigating it. The GM was able to check on my character's performance during any lag and seemed to be take 'shots' of the shard/s I was in at the time. So that would seem to indicate that the issues does relate in some way to sharding.
Just joined a group to kill a Random WQ mob..... Now i am stuck with people from US... This is Crazy, I've hearthstoned to Orgrimar and everythings fine.... UNTILL I GO BACK INTO ZULDAZAR...

I have 100mbit connection.
If you read the thread, it only happens during peak time and only in BfA zones. So it has nothing to do with out internet.
The issue could be happening, port to Dalaran and it is suddenly running perfectly.

This is happening again right now,
Character: Schmuckules
Server: Nagrand
Zone: Drustvar
Group: No - Solo World Questing.
There is a 1.5 second delay with all ability uses, you can watch the GCD trigger and watch the timer go round, and just after the timer finishes, the ability will trigger. It is really jarring gameplay. On occasion, mid combat, the lag will disappear entirely for 2 or 3 abilities, before coming back again. It feels almost like the server is rubber-banding.
EDIT: My ingame cast bar addon (Quartz) displays latency on casts, and just for reference, my mounting cast had a delay of over 1200ms. My ingame latency is 22/22

This is my theory, im happy for anyone to step in and correct me , this is not a volume issue , its not related to poulation and simply increasing server size. My theory is that BFA zones act the exact same way that Ashran PVP did , Factions are balanced so 200 ally vs 200 hrde (hypothetically) with that in mind lets say that that.
100 of those ally are from lightbringer
25 from nagrand/cael
25 from frost mourne
50 from thrall.
Now the system then decides well the majority of those players are from US so we will shard the OCE players to the US shard for balance.
Now the system still recognizes that your own server..hence the 25ms lag.
But you are in fact phased to a US shard hence the 200-300 ms lag.
Is this making sense to anyone because the only reason I can see that Blizz cant fix this is because its not a symptom of a mistake it is in-fact working as intended and they don't know how to fix it.
so in essence everytime we enter a BFA its like we qued and got sent to a US server for PvP...but now it also affects PVE becuase there are no purely PVP/PVE realms

We also suspected that at one point, Teylari, but having looked at the server stats we've collected that doesn't APPEAR to be the case. Not an engineer myself by any means, but you all do appear to be on local servers on the shards I'm seeing reported.
We're still watching by the way, please do keep the reports of issues coming. Make sure to include as much of this info as possible! We really appreciate it.

The only fix I can see is remove Warmode , return the realms to PVE/PVP status and give us back our stability...
Simple and extreme but anyone else have any better idea's, cause blizz sure aint showing us they do.

Noooo!!!
I like not having PVP on my server (before it was a PVP server)
Itâs not even the issue. Itâs more likely that the servers are too loaded.
They had so many more people who came back to wow for this expansion.

They are investigating it, I know this from personal experience yesterday. If it is that difficult to pin down, that they have to send techs into the game to play with players and check their characters' behaviour, it must really be a puzzle. I'm not a tech, I have no idea how the systems really work but I have to assume at this point that if it was an easy fix, it would be fixed by now.
The fact that it isn't means its more than just pressing a button or changing a line of code. It IS frustrating for us but I know they are working on it. Nothing this impactful is simply ignored.

Even when we were on US servers and did not have our own dedicated servers, the 200-300 ms lag didnât effect me as bad as what seems to be between 500-1200ms lag.
Iâm trying to loot things and Iâm getting âempty slotâ thatâs how much lag weâre experiencing. Itâs not 200-300ms, a lot of the time it feels WAY higher.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but your WinMTR is not tracing to the Oceanic servers...
137.221.105.2 is the American Servers, you should be setting up WinMTR to trace to 103.4.115.248 which is the Sydney Servers.
