Nobully has to be trolling. Nobody who has tried playing on an Oceanic server could be this obtuse.
The issue you are describing does not have anything to do with the primary issues being described in (again I will double down on this) the 2,100+ posts in this thread.
Please do not come here and say we have done NOTHING to work on this. By all means, go back and read all of the posts to find that we have done a lot to help assisting Blizzard to fix this problem. They stopped replying. Best thing we can do now is keep reminding them that YEP, it is still broken - no matter who decides to come here and suggest it is collectively all of Oceanicās internet connections.
Fun fact too - thereās the exact same issue happening in the US realms, just no where near as often. Iām sure with their increased server capacity that probably just has a smidge to do with it. Additionally, Iām sure theyād also like this issue fixed so it stops happening for them too, even if it is more intermittent.
Please do not suggest that I am the one here causing any issues with solving this problem. If you want to go back and read those thousands of posts, youāll have noticed Iāve been around for quite some time too.
when that was posted, there was over 300 complaints, yet only 38 people were willing to submit any information in an attempt to try and pinpoint issues.
this thread is from 2 years ago, and the 38 submissions are not recent.
i play on au and na realms.
iāve not experienced any issues aside from the ones which have an obvious cause, and i can rectify by re-logging.
Iām not going to continue this back and forth.
Either submit the info, or donāt.
I canāt force you to help yourself.
good luck with it.
For anyone else curious, they were doing direct tests on faulting shards last time Blizzard replied to this thread. No response since.
Please donāt get discouraged by people who havenāt experienced the issue, and therefore say it doesnāt exist. They know not what they speak - but thatās okay, we know whatās wrong and weāre here to remind Blizzard that they need to get back to us, too. =)
Clutching at straws much? You arent reading many comments are you. This issue has nothing to do with internet connections, problems are all server side. Which is why nothing was done to fix it when it first happened. And why nothing will be done to fix it now.
I canāt believe this thread is still active from 2018ā¦

Lag and disconnects happen in all Shadowlands zones.
Booted from game at approx 75% load in for some dungeons, I donāt know the names, because I cant get into them.
I would like to add, this is not an issue on the client end. This is a Blizzard issue and its happening to a very large number OCE of players.
Please fix
Been having this issue for a few days now. Itās not my connection, itās not my PC, itās not on my end at all, the evidence of many others having the same issue points to an issue on Blizzardās end.
Charging us Australianās an increased amount per month and we are now receiving a worse service. I have a 6 month sub Iām about to request a refund on because this game is literally unplayable.
- Lag in zones while the game reports 19ms
- Disconnected when loading into dungeons
- Character not found issues
- Lagging out when using flight paths in most Shadowlands zones
This is not worth even $10/mo at this rate.
My traceroute to US Central/West. Hope it helpsā¦ I am in Malaysia btw, not Australia and have same issue.

It affects 100% of players regardless of ping. All they need to do is simply login and play. No one at Blizzard needs any information from us. Just go to Ardenweld at anytime day or night, warmode on or off, and youāll get it too.
This is really getting bad now, still have not been able to random queue at all so far because you WILL be disconnected, then unable to load in until your character eventually times out.
General lag running around any of the zones is commonplace even if your home and world ms is under 20. This is not a client issue, its us paying the Oceanic tax of being neglected - god forbid all of NA had these issues they would be investigating.
This has been an issue for 2+ years now for us, it kind of just got abit better before SL because people stopped playing, meaning less load. Now that SL is the new hotness, its really showing how unstable the servers really are. Joining anyone in US whether through LFG or random dungeon/battleground is basically playing russian roulette on if you will DC or not. Cant queue PVP as you are guaranteed to be linked to a US player, meaning you will get the infinite loading screen, have to Alt+F4 then sit there to connect to your character with their newly rewarded Deserter debuff. Wait 15 minutes to do it all again.
Ive tweeted all of these + many of the Oceanic General Forum links to BlizzardCS saying there is massive issues for Oceanic players and have had 0 response on any of them.
I can now with confidence state that I am having less lag on a 200+ms US server then on my 50ms OCE server.
Can we please get someone to look into this, or at least get some feedback if someone is already looking into it. It is really frustrating.
Seconding the request for feedback. Itās borderline unplayable during peak hours. Iām currently seeing at least a second of difference between key press and the ability firing.
As plenty of other people have mentioned an MTR isnāt going tp help. Itās great for spotting packet loss, or if there is a bad hop but this is almost definitely related to server load.
Getting to the point where it may be time to start asking for refunds - consumer protections in Australia and NZ are pretty clear cut around these sorts of things.
I refunded today. If Blizzard wants to charge $90+ then up the subscription cost they need to make it worth my money.
I must admit this is getting in the territory of providing an unsatisfactory gameplay experience which would perfectly justify a complaint. When you are disadvantaged against non-Oceanic players with what is effectively an added layer of global cd, it is providing a substandard game.
They need to fix this or a lot of people here will be talking to the Office of Fair Trading.
Same problems for me. I turned off addons and still saw issues.
Iām at the point where Iām going to tell my current raid group on Saurfang I canāt raid with them and just play on my original US server as I donāt have any lag there. This is WAY worse (at least for me) than the start of BfA and itās fing pathetic. Youāre a BILLION dollar business, Blizzard. Get your s*** together!
