I’m not high end and it sounds like you don’t want to play the game
No, I want what was advertised to me.
Completing a Covenant campaign on one character will allow alternate characters the ability to skip that same Covenant’s campaign, earning the Renown and a third Soulbind unlock immediately without needing to replay the full narrative arc.
I’ve already done the full four campaigns on 4 characters. I’ve done 8/9 chapters on 12 others. Just let me skip that last chapter so I can do the freakin Korthia dailies and get my mogs.

The 3rd soulnind unlocked with completing 9.0.
So you are getting a skip for that.
9.1.5 is still part of 9.1 content and that is current content. A full skip of 9.1 content does not make sense at this time.
You should read some of the comments, for example a lot of people don’t want to do the same campaing on alts in order to unlock the transmog pieces provided for each type of armor.
Also, it seems that you need the 9.0 campaing in order to complete the 9.1 on Korthia, so you can get access to all the dialies, i just give up and my main has like 5 daily quest compared to my alts that only have access to 3… i don´t know why they attached the unlock of daily quest to the whole campaing and alts can’t access that.
It makes sense, skips should come with the patch not later, the thing with skips is that you need to unlock it by doing the whole thing with your main character, so your alts doesn´t have to do it again or if you want you can do it, it’s a free choise.
Current development is a torture for people with several alts, then people just wait for the skip on alts because is really boring to do the same again and again.
What would make the most sense is a solid and consistent 77-day(a-la-Legion-mode) major patch schedule. We should already be in 9.3 pretty soon with the last known successful scheduling. I know that’s not what we’re getting, but I think it’s a bit too late to do anything with the core of 9.1. Just saying, because we’re once again in a content drought.
People are missing the point. Look at @Straiso’s reply. It says exactly what you need to know.
There’s no opinion, feelings, or thoughts that anybody has that makes any difference whatsoever. Blizzard has advertised something, and went back on it, without saying a word. They did the same thing with Warcraft 3 Reforged and still had the audacity to say, “lol, sorry you guys didn’t like it”. Notice how every blizzard game goes on sale but not Warcraft 3 anymore, because they know what they’ve done and want to keep it quiet?
At some point, you have to stand your ground and tell these companies enough of this bullcrap. We can’t change anything by just voicing our opinions due to the fact that we are flat out nobody and nothing to them, it has to be something major, like hitting them where it hurts. Enough people do that, and everything cracks at some point.
Did Ardenweald Covenant > this Hunter.
Did Revendreth Covenant > Alliance Hunter.
Did Bastion Covenant > Horde Druid.
Did Ardenweald Covenant > Alliance Druid.
Did Maldraxxus Covenant > Alliance Priest.
Was looking forward to not doing Maldraxxus, my least favorite, again. Or picking one for my mage. So sue me for not hopping up and down with joy at campaign push number six onward.
It’s part of the quest chain to open up the Codex.
“Catch-up” gear (which actually isn’t catch-up gear, but still…)
If your alts are not going to raid or mythic+ then you’ll need the gear that drops in Korthia AND the ability to upgrade it - and while you can send the VERY rare account-bound gear drops to alts, those pieces cannot be upgraded AT ALL until you unlock Korthia and do the opening quest chain.
Of course it makes sense.
Skips aren’t just for obsolete content that nobody wants to do any more. They should be the default for accounts with characters which have already played through the story elements of a zone like Korthia and, of course, the Covenant campaign.
Who’s gonna give a crap about a campaign skip for Korthia is 9.2 when Korthia is obsolete?
Yep, same here - 5 dailies on my main, 3 on my alt. Utterly stupid how they tie unlocks like that to tedious, repetitive intro quests that are in turn ties to tedious, repetitive so-called “campaigns” (I remember when Blizzard’s quest content used to be FUN but we seem to be long past that point).
It’s my way of saying that I’m just tired of the game feeling like it’s some optional side content unless you want to run some instanced content treadmill.
But I’m also not a huge fan of them locking power behind story. So, I’d like to see that change. It just stinks when everything that isn’t raiding or M+ is watered down or removed to placate the “I need to run the treadmill on my alts immediately” crowd.
There needs to be some better way for them to just get you there without removing bits of the content I enjoy or making my casual progression systems feel either useless (like LFR/LFD) or horribly gated (Archivist’s Codex) so that your content can feel more valuable.
Casual players can’t have anything if it interferes with the self-importance of a hardcore player.
Uh no it’s not.
I have made 3 different characters raid ready this expansion and working on number 4. The only reason I haven’t geared the lock out is because I refuse to pay to transfer it from alliance until affliction is fixed.
We’re not asking to skip on a new toon, on our alts for a campaign we have already completed on another toon!
Oh, so how do I progress past chapter 3 of the Korthia campaign?
No one forces you to use the skips they add.
The skips were explicitly advertised as only being available for alts if another toon had already completed that same covenant campaign, and that we’d earn all the renown from the quests instantly.
This is a bait and switch.
finding this out after doing the covenant swap on my priest felt TERRIBLE, i was expecting to just hop over to necro go to 40 and move on. but NOPE i gotta redo the whole necro campaign again. this is disgusting and with the bad taste we already have from 9.0 9.1 this just isnt right.
why do they straightly lie to our faces???
Shameless company.
Why do you have to do it? Have you not done a necrolord before on another character?
yeah my shaman is necro and completely finished the story
Then there should be zero reason to do it again
if only blizzard saw it that way.
