Ability/Loot Lag on Oceanic Servers Despite Normal Latency

I think it’s more that so many people have just stopped playing because the game is no longer enjoyable for them. I’m still hoping that it will be resolved soon, but I barely put in any time in game now because it’s so frustrating

I have noticed it does seem to last a shorter amount of time lately. I would say it is because the game is in a major dead point in terms of content. People just aren’t logging in so the stress on the inadequate sharding code isn’t as high.

Should still not be happening at all in 2k18.

I stopped playing a few months ago because of this issue, and if it is still continuing, I won’t be coming back. I’m not wasting money on an unplayable game.

Any updates Blizzard? Can you at least confirm if there’s anything in 8.1 that will help? A simple yes or no will do.

I think we all know the answer is a big, fat “no”. Otherwise they would have been proudly posting it here to shut people up.

Blizzard have stated that they know what the issues is (sharding) and yet they still keep this very broken system around. What i hear about cost cutting is really true after all. Forced CRZ / Sharding killed this game literately lol

Time to unsub people, Blizzard doesn’t care one damn bit about their player base anymore.

MS: 12/12

WM off: it is ALWAYS off.

Solo / not grouped at any time.

Time: now

Server lag, loot lag, 2 sec cast lag, skinning creatures and takes four attempts to actually loot whatever I skinned. (think of the loot as being attached to a rubber band that wont let go) Cast lag noticeable to the point where I throw shield, delay, shield fires, delay, mob actually hit. Cast lag on abilities, cast lag on mounting.

This is December, and this remains unfixed since launch - in August.

I have been patient and I have been understanding…but this is getting very tiresome.

Throwing my hat into the ring too.

This is what happens to me. Happens all the time in Uldir, so much so that I missed my guild first Mythic Vectis and Fetid kills after I was sat because I was dcing on attempts.

So unbelievably frustrating.

That indicates there’s something not quite right with that specific instance of WoW. Your second warrior, obviously on the same shard as you can see them, isn’t having the same problem.

Also gay is not the right adjective to use here.

Getting issues also on Aman’thul
I am constantly having connection slow downs to the magnitude of over 3000ms (yes 3 THOUSAND)… Right now it crap, but playable as long as you dont do anything but questing… But M+ and Raiding is a no go… Which is my issue as I am end game focused player… Here are the Pathping and Tracert for WoW from my home here in the Philippines to WoW Oceanic Servers in Sydney Australia. Its been this way since BFA has been released and is getting worse… To the point I am close to canceling my account because there is no reason to pay for something I can not play… BTW this is at 12 in the afternoon… By 5pm it gets so bad I can not even log in…

So to recap, right now at around Lunch time I am getting 350ish ms or higher.
By 5pm its around 800ms to over 3000ms.
By 3am in the morning it is around 175ms…

That’s a different problem Kinderfeld, this thread is about it being laggy while your ping stays low.

You’re getting packet loss on jump nine. I suggest opening your own thread and contacting your ISP, perhaps they can poke people further up the chain.

Any chance that this will be somewhat rectified with the new patch?

Seems to me to be a perfect time to do it…if you have anything done that is?

Hey all,

We ended up making some changes around the 3rd of this December which seem to have improved what we were seeing with our backend monitoring. Judging from the reports here it looks like it’s still happening? For our oceanic players - this week, have things been better? Worse? What times of day are you seeing issues now?

I can’t speak for others, but I’m still getting the lag spikes myself, particularly when interacting with NPCS and the bank/mailbox/auction house. Opening up profession windows also causes the game to freeze for a few moments as well. I haven’t noticed as much open world lag, but that could be simply because I’ve stopped logging in and playing as much because it was unbearable to play the game with those issues ongoing for nearly 4 months.

Any chance you could be more specific? My sub isn’t active and I need to know if the issue is fixed or not before I would even think about subbing again. Some changes that may or may not have fixed it doesn’t provide much confidence.

It’s mostly been good but occasionally you run into some. I’ve not been playing as much so I don’t know how bad it is.
Many friends have quit now, I quit for a while too but came back to stop mail expiring.

Really it looks like enough people stopped playing to reduce the load to manageable levels, which is what I thought would happen a while ago. :frowning:

Worse, intermittent, to bad to unplayable.

4 second to 6 second mail lag, loot lag, cast lag up to two seconds, mount lag where I use a mount and it appears two seconds later.

Tried to send mail to an alt and I sat there for five seconds waiting for it to send.

Moving stuff in bank is a 3 second delay.

Issue remains.
