So you all say it’s not a big issue, and then say it’s too big of an issue for blizzard to fix. Lmao how backwards is that? Blizzard is one of the wealthiest and largest gaming companies in the world with full access to some of the best recources around the globe. Yet, they almost seem to do nothing to combat the online toxicity that festers inside their T rated games.
The VTK system needs fixing. It’s messed up that a group of troll friends can bar people from content we all pay for just because they didn’t like them. There should be some sort of action the person on the receiving end can do if it’s deemed unfair. Especially for low level content.
The social guards blizzard has in place do help, but often times they don’t entirely fix the problem. Seems to me OP is simply asking for improvements. Yet yall roast him alive and act like improvements are bad and progression is scary. Shame!
I only kick jerks, disrespectful players, complain about a dps doing low damage.
The VTK system is broken by design and is frequently abused.
Here’s how to fix it:
- Do not allow kicks during combat. If a kick is initiated during combat, the dialog should only pop up after combat has ended.
- Kickers should not be anonymous. People who do not spam abusive kicks would not have a problem with this.
- There needs to be a 2 minute cooldown for the kicker if their first kick fails.
- The person being kicked needs a chance to respond to the allegation before being removed.
Make these changes and the kick problems go away.

Isn’t this already the case and being used to grief LFR at Carapace because the griefer can instantly rez and initiate combat before the kick can go thrugh?
Currently kicks can be initiated multiple times by the same anonymous person in quick succession during combat.
Ressing and then initiating combat would not place other party members in combat. If other party members have died, the dialog would show up when they are dead allowing them to vote before ressing.
too bad, if 3-4 people in a 5 man group don’t want to play with you, you’re not entitled to their time

Too bad that in its current form, the VTK system does not accurately gauge whether 3-4 people actually want to kick you.
What would you suggest to dissuade the potential for abuse?
Funny, since that’s how many it takes to approve a VTK.

Okay, I was gonna say. We cannot have a conversation about the subject if something that erroneous is assumed.
Actually its bs how people scram for those collection of limited quest items , which arent limited and plentyful if your group does the dungeon properly .
I hate tanking when all 3 dps and the healer run for that quest item over focusing on the actual pull .
So ye vote kick is a good idea here to stay .
I definitely would love a change to the system.
I was in a PuG last night, nothing fancy just doing underrot on an alt, but I guess I was in a 4 stack. There were 2 main people talking and I guess the rest were using their Disc, but they said “don’t DPS, Shut the f up and enjoy this carry”
Mind you its on normal and one of their friends dies. twice. I had to use my B-res to get him up. I pointed out hey slow down one of the dps keeps dying, to which they told me “Well thats why we told you not to dps scrub, shut up and enjoy the carry”
I told them it wasn’t me that died it was the other guy, then in chorus they all told me to just s t f u and enjoy the carry
At this point i just want to do underrot and get it over with so I be quiet, till we get to the first boss and the main 2 that were talking crap died. All i typed was “heh”
Instantly booted.
Just because its a PuG doesn’t nor shouldnt give someone the right to be a douche or abuse a system that wasn’t designed to make you feel like youre in control.
TL;DR Don’t get rid of the system, but please update it.

Oh ABSOLUTELY, Don’t get me wrong I had a HUGE chuckle fit over it, but the whole system does need to be looked at for reasons such as these. Just because youre bad and embarrassed doesn’t mean someone who called you out should get booted. That’s unfair and ruins the entire experience.
