Itâs amazing how many people claim rdf is bad⌠and destroys communities/MMOs⌠yet ever major modern MMO has a rdf system⌠Only in wow is rdf said to be a bad thing for the game.

And is it a âcoincidenceâ that modern MMOs are considered to much more soulless, less social and devoid of interaction between players? No, it isnât. Itâs common sense.
Classic exists because people want to go back to an old school framework of a social MMO, and RDF ruins that.

No they donât, if thats the case then Everquest would still be popular, there is your ultimate social MMO, its still online, you can go play it with the other 40,000 that still play it, obviously no one wanted that.

because its a fact, Everquest Classic exists, so does Runescape, both predate wow, both are orders of magnitude more social than wow ever was, yet they are both barely alive and functional today, they also did their classic version, its been an abject failure, turns out no one really likes the lack of efficiency or the needless requirement to have to sit around for hours looking for people to something
your social interaction in wow is the same it was pre RDF, its in your guild, it was always in your guild, except now that conversation has moved to discord which is far superior because now you can have that conversation and community without ever having to login to the game, busy at work, jump on your phone talk to your guildies. Ingame chat is dead and useless. Heck even server discords are more useful to get to know your server, because again you can have conversations in discord, that donât requre you to troll general or trade and every server has one.

Youâll notice, a great majority of groups want âspellcleaveâ or âmelee cleaveâ
You a rogue or a feral druid? Nobody wants you.
Tank wants all the loot to himself? Well, no Death Knights, no Warriors, no Paladins. Yeah, 3 mages and a priest is fine!
