A Suggestion for Void Elf Hair Colors

Why does the High Elf fanbase care what the Void Elves get? It’s not like High Elves are getting anything from this…

They think they’re now High Elfs with these options.

But this exact notion is the reason why Blood Elf players have been very vocal lately. The Alliance High Elf-customization option requests have been granted to a big degree.

Alliance doesn’t have High Elves. It has Void Elves and Night Elves.

The Void Elves have had lots of customization options, but no matter how much they LARP, they know deep down that they will never be High Elves.

I wish they’d just give everyone a color wheel.

They actually have High Elves if you have been following the inGame updates. It has been shown in the Void Elf starter zone that High Elf researchers and wayfarers join them. This small cameo-update came at the same time with the fair skinned options.

Secondly, the High Elf-options fall under the very same issues you should be aware of the Mag’har Orcs and the different clans. Same goes for other races but I think you’re familiar with them the most as an Orc-player.

Wait what? Do you mean like High Elves joining the Alliance or just being in the Void Elf starting zone? Because if they are in the starting zone it can be argued that they are getting corrupted. But if they are actually joining the Alliance then Blizz just retconned a huge chunk of lore.

They’re in the Void Elf starting zone, studying the Void with some Blood Elfs. Silver Covenant is already Alliance.

Yes and no. The bigger problem is that most Anti High Elf players argue in bad faith because it’s about the dominance of the hair color and losing their assets.

In reality though the most logical theory is that there are two generations of Void Elves. The original one (which are Blood Elves) and the second generation who learned the use the void without being abused and rescued by Alleria. It’s never been confirmed but the most logical explanation so far. Of course this has a lot to do with bending to the Alliance-players but given how they are the inferior player faction, I’m just glad that they get something at all which makes them attractive for certain players to play at all.

I leave you a link here to the actual NPC. They do exist.

When you put it that way it becomes a much easier pill to swallow.

I can agree with giving them High Elf stuff because they are inferior, I can’t agree with giving them High Elf stuff because of actual lore reasons.

The Silver Covenant is a bunch of militant racists, I consider them ‘High Elves’ the same way I consider Grimtotem to be ‘Tauren’. They choose their allegiances separately from the rest of their race.

You have to thank the game director for not catering to the Alliance for a long time. Faction imbalances, mocking them at BlizzCons and giving them inferior quality products (minus Boralus) and player experiences.

For me this is just another Bee-mount situation where they make it up for the endless horse mounts which was absolutely unfair towards them. If they would have actually treat their players with dignity (which they haven’t during BfA), this wouldn’t have happened.

High Elves on the Alliance-side do make sense though. Doesn’t change the fact that they race diversity is absolutely abysmal to begin with.

Got a source for this stuff?

In fairness, I don’t think anyone was treated with dignity in BfA, especially not the Horde.

For the imbalances? They acknowledged it two times last BlizzCon in an interview. The mockings can be found on YouTube. Starting with the Horde rock concert where the artists screams “f the Alliance” up to a video and ralley suggestion “have mercy” to a video about the AI comp stomp where they suggested that Alliance players are inferior and need the AI comp stomp to enjoy PVP and a message “you’re welcome Alliance”.

I think the only real problem with our faction is that we play the second fiddle when it comes to the story, otherwise we got all the allied races we have requested so far.

That’s not Blizzard mocking the Alliance, that’s a Horde player mocking the Alliance. The dude literally has a Horde tattoo on his arm.

As far as I’m concerned the only thing wrong with this is that they haven’t gotten an equally passionate Alliance player to come be an Elite Drainei Chieftan yet.

Unfortunately I can’t seem to find this video/suggestion. Got a link maybe?

BRB, gotta go find the sucker who requested Vulpera. :running_man:

Agree. Black and brown please.

I’d also like white. Super-bright level white.

LOL what?

I cannot find any links either. Looks like these videos have been removed in the wake of the anti feminist video from the developers? I don’t know.

If you have access to the BlizzCon 2018 ticket, I suggest looking there for the AI comp stomp feature. But it did happen. Found this at least:

I’m totally fine with them to be honest. It’s about diversity for me but I do understand when people dislike them. But still better than another human race.

You do know that Void Elves and Blood Elves both are groups of High Elves, just with different names, you do know that, right?

Because they never really wanted to play as a high elf. All they wanted was to play a fair skin blond hair blue eye elf… Of course the ''high elf ‘’ lore was the main argument for years but you can see how less they cared about the ‘‘alliance high elf’’ once they got blue eye blond hair fair skin blood elf.
