Even simpler: don’t open the gates until teams are even, or at least within 5 players of each other.

Easy fix, HIDE THE AV NUMBER when you click join…Seems simple to me. the number just makes it easier to stack a particular av# AV24good AV35Bad AV41 BAD…So people dodge 35 41 and try to manually queue for 24…leaving 2 av’s short of players at start.
I am not a PVP person, however this weekend, I played about 50 matches, in almost every match we started with 15-20 Alliance.
We had no chance. This issue with pre-made groups is out of control and is causing harm to the player base. Why blizzard does not see this and fix it is past me. many simple ways to fix this.
Me, I have no hope of ranking and I did this to see what everyone was talking about. the problem is real.

Are you serious? You think it is selfish to not to open the gates until each side has 40? That’s actually the most reasonable and likely easiest solution there is. Oh apologies if premades aren’t allowed to curb stomp randoms anymore… Who is being selfish now?

Ooh now this is a good idea, perhaps better than making the gates not open until there are 40 players on both sides. Premades wouldn’t be possible anymore.
premades are causing this issue. Games start short for some other coded reason.
Whether that is because it is doing some sort of forecasting, IDK. But the dodged queues do not correlate with empty games. Games are starting empty without any alliance premades dodging.
No debuff needed, just remove the AV game numbers so the premade can’t know if they all got the same game. Ez to implement and no impact to anyone besides premades.
Blizzard intentionally prevented you from queuing in a group for AV, so if premades end, it’s more Blizz like.
blame your premade meta.

I think it’s very selfish to punish horde for the actions of the alliance, yes. Cut off the problem; remove premades. It’s the only valid solution.
Alliance starting AV with 3 people is our reward for losing 80% of our games in 7 minutes. Don’t like it? Roll horde. Isn’t the complement to the alliance rally cry?

The only debuff that would work for this is if you were to dodge a premade you received 50% honor in the next AV you joined; with instant queues ally premades arent AVing 20 hours a day 7 days a week
