True, but I think a lot (majority) of people are either completely unaware of the forums or are only dimly aware of them. Forums, of any game, have always been an incredibly small minority of the player base.
Most players just don’t bother, for any number of reasons. In fact more players will quit playing a game without ever saying why then there are players who will ever comment on the forums. Forums are useful, but people need to remember that representation will be skewed. Overwhelmingly we see complaints about certain things that the majority don’t care about, and we’ll see only a few people complain about things that most people generally support but don’t care enough about.
Was just curious, I guess. Consistency was making me concerned that you thought “thus” was a stand-in for “this” .
To be fair I don’t consider Lightforged Draenei, or Highmountain Tauren, or Mag’har Orcs, to have fascinating storied pasts compared to the races we already had. At best Highmountain Tauren maybe, but they’ve basically lived exactly like the Tauren anyway, except for the horns bit.
Not everything has to be totally brand new and completely distinct with zero overlap to be of value. That’s almost the whole point of Allied Races to some extent. Some have totally new lore, some don’t.
High Elves and Blood Elves share a history prior to the fall of Quel’thalas, but Blizzard could absolutely write lore that outlines how the two races have diverged since then. It wouldn’t be any less unique than Void Elves, to be certain.
Good thing most of them want more colors and hairstyles for their race, because who wouldn’t want that.
Hate to tell you this, but your group of people who want to see void elves turn to outright K’thir are in the minority.
I’m all for void customization, more tentacle hair styles, void scarred tattoos and limbs, old god eyes on their eyes, but I’m not about turning them into “what I saw on my trip to the aquarium”, because I’m reasonable and don’t have an agenda like your side does.
The saddest part about all of this is you believe you have credibility when you so blatantly have an agenda , if you actually cared you would listen and respect all suggestions, yet you don’t, and you’re angry about no one wanting your customization, as seen by the exactly 0, pop up void customization threads for void elves.
Yeah i thought that too. I’ve always imagined one of the Darker Voidish skin tones with bright Blonde Hair. You could come up with some crazy looking combos that would be fun to mess around with.
Perhaps. Alleria, being as she is, seems to me an argument that High Elves and the Void can mix without turning purple and sprouting tentacles.
That there are High Elf Wayfarer’s in Telogrus studying the Void and what happened to the Void Elves? That they’re clearly cooperating and could be said to be forming a social cohesion? That those High Elves will start to dabble, but that the process specific to the purple ones was unique?
I see no reason that “Void Elves” as a group couldn’t come to include perfectly normal High Elves who’ve begun to master the void like Alleria, but lack the very specific encounter that warped the Void Elves ‘proper’.
Ergo I would abstain from the use of the term “defiled” (and defilement).
this can only happen by absorbing a rare powerful void entity. And with an extremely long time of training. It would make no sense to mass produce VE this way
This is a flat out lie from you because the other day in another thread you was literally going crazy on me because I did and I do read both sides instead of just taking one side on this topic and I can prove it by relinking all your crazy ranting that came out of nowhere from the other day if I have to.
You are one sided on this topic and anyone with any common sense can see that.
Actually they were.
It was one of the first times it was shown ethereals infusing void into themselves, it showed elves consuming void energies, and it also showed an elf infused with void and transforming into a voidwalker.
I’ve always supported more Void options as well. I’m not against that. It’s not exactly a 1 way street. You can support more High Elf options while supporting more Void options. And there’s people who like or prefer the Void aesthetic that want “regular” options for a number of reasons. More diversity or the fact they don’t care for the current hair options. Or the lack of hair options i should say.
Alleria is the racial leader of the Void Elves, but she didn’t undergo the same biological/magical process that the Void Elves did. She acquired her void powers completely separately, with directed training and effort. The High Elves that are messing around in Telogrus Rift have the time to do it slowly. The Void Elves are just High Elves who had an experiment go wrong in their face.
I’m saying that adding High Elf customizations, such as hair color, isn’t really weird considering that the High Elves are already working with the Void Elves, and that over time more and more High Elves will go the way of Alleria, and no Elves will be repeating what happened to the Void Elves if they’re smart.
