Most folk see the dissent to HE requests as pure spite, but this is really all it is.
Blood Elves and Void Elves both have distinctions. Diluting them just isn’t something some want to see.
I do want to see some more void skin tones. I feel you can always expand the skin tones for the races that aren’t tied to standard human skintones.
But I’d say that would be a secondary for me. More eyes, and tentacle options (including the ability to toggle the hair, which I know you’re not crazy about) and yes the hair kinda like Lance was kind enough to make for me.
I also might bother him to see if he could do a shadowy effect like the Starcursed Voidstrider for the hair… but I hate asking him to do things and take his time.
I think people are missing the multiple options that Lances mock up represents too, like it utilizes several ideas on the model but it can be all of that or just a few options to choose from I would imagine I’d only use the Azshara eyes like I said.
I am sorry, but that is not an opinion, it was a statement. About 98% of the people requesting color and hairstyle none void is asking for it so they can rp as HE.
The bulk of ppl asking for “normal” colors and styles wants it for HE’s instead of actually wanting to add to the VE flavor.
One, I am independent in my thinking, and 2. The term ilk is normally used to look down on someone or as an insult. I will ask you to not use that wording.
I support HE through other means and these wordings is just silly.
That actually was not reasonable void customization, it was for making VE discount HE.
Not an anti, I just don’t see the point in a. Giving blizz an excuse not to be creative with models to make a distinct HE of half elf race that can look separate from ve and be and b. I do not like the idea of watering down a race that lore-wise came directly from be (your player charecter is by lore, one of the be batch. The Silverwood wondered npc’s us for flavor to allow ppl to rp a high elf and only that.)
They see Voidberg and react without really looking or realizing that he represents many options rolled into one.
Again I’d hate to dilute voidberg or ask Lance to do more work, but it would be neat to have more pictures to show off the options mixed with some current options.
sounds fine to me, was just kind of off put, i played my void elf for a few weeks and went to log in one day and was like… “he looks different” it took me a few weeks to realize they added them lol but not that its been noticed i do have a hard time liking it
So wait, if posting on topic, just disagreeing, it’s “spamming”… what is it when you post on an already spam thread (as there’s plenty of threads about the topic) to begin with?
Or is it “spam” only when it’s disagreement?
Mind educating me? It’s hard to keep up with these sort of double standards.
It’s a reasonable point. Because the “ORIGINAL” band of Void Elves (before customization additions) could only have VOID skins and the Void Eyes. AFTER extra customization they can have regular skin/eye options.
So it makes sense for their skintones/eye color to remain the same after a “phsyical body changing ritual” but asking for them to have the options for regular hair colors is a step to far? That’s somehow some kind of gamebreaking retcon?
There’s totally not any regular High Elves or Blood Elves in Telogrus Rift studying the Void or anything… Definitely not shown ingame.
It’s giving me “we can spam the forums, but you guys have shared your opinion enough.” Despite it is still them making duplicate threads.
Also I find it funny the HE fans go up in arms if you ever tell them (or even if you don’t but they think its what you’re saying) to stop requesting, but they are all so quick to bandwagon together to shame people out of opposing their requests.
Just because they began watering down the visual identity of Void Elves… doesn’t mean they need to make it worse, just because the damage was started.
Give them more voidy option, emphasize on what they are, don’t dilute them more.
It did sound like that to me, after all, the thread in itself it’s spam.
But with them it’s a “if a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it…” level dilemma… but their solution for it I guess is to think that it depends on who heard it to consider it fallen.
Sadly the “My request it’s valid but yours isn’t and you should stop” stance is not a new one.
But then… if it’s not valid… why are they so worried about it being heard?
If it’s not to be taken into consideration, why does it worry them so much.
I mean there is a total lack of aggression from one side so you made the issue that you find our civility fake, if thats not being the antagonizer idk what is.
Civility and arguing in good faith isn’t an anti plot.
