I’ve felt a similar way lately. I don’t dislike the Void theme either. I think there’s a lot of normal/High Elf options that mix well with the Void theme. I love the idea of a High Elf with regular/blonde hair and Voidish eyes.
Even some ethereal wrappings i think would mix well with regular options. Especially if you could give them an Arcane or Void effect. Or some Void styled magister tattoos (like the one on the TBC box) on an elf with blonde or white hair would look cool.
A lot of people who want Regular/Normal options are people who enjoy the Void theme too.
I think this should be specifically for void elves since it’s mostly a Alliance thing The braid types for Horde is based on culture. The Alliance braid types is different based on there culture as well. Our barber’s only know troll, orc, and tauren braiding.
I don’t care for more hair styles, I only use 3 hair styles out the many that are provided, shoulder length, ponytail and bun.
I am ok with void tats, but I think that should go to BE’s and BE’s alone. I think VE tats should be different. It is a different type of magic after all.
You’re right, the faction with many less elves and less widespread wearing of braids should definitely have a wider array of braids than the faction with many more elves and more widespread wearing of braids.
This is a reasonable statement by someone who definitely mains Horde and isn’t posting on an alt.
News flash: Not everyone thinks giving Void Elves things like “normal” hair harms either playable race. People are allowed to support whatever they want, and you don’t have the right to assume their reasonings. There are plenty of Void Elf mains that want more normal options for their character(s), and there are plenty of Blood Elf mains that want more normal options for Void Elves whether due to knowing it’s acceptable/okay, they have Void Elf alts, or they have friends that play Void Elves, etc. Giving those options doesn’t ruin anything for either race. Obviously I’m repeating myself in this single message, but it’s been spelled out for those against the concept multiple times and they can’t seem to comprehend it.
Not everyone thinks at all and that’s not a problem except when people devoid of thought express detrimental takes that harm others, like wanting to completely destroy Blood Elves so you can have your boring weak perfect pure white blonde haired blue eyed elf fantasy when there’s already plenty of other boring white blonde haired blue eyed humanoids to choose from.
This is objectively false but keep deluding yourself with this silly rhetoric if it helps you sleep at night. The truth is that these so-called Blood Elf mains are actually Alliance mains trying to gaslight people and I’m not buying their weak attempts at deception for a second.
This is also objectively false and you should stop spreading this harmful misinformation.
News Flash: Anyone with half a brain would realize that taking everything Blood Elves and giving Void Elves everything while offering nothing in return would be a black hole sized supermassive detriment to Blood Elves.
It’s time to be satisfied with what you’ve already stolen from us, install Total RP 3, and get on with your lives. Blizzard has said there will be no more customizations.
I know I’m repeating myself but hopefully I’ve spelled this concept out enough that these people can finally comprehend it.
Glad we have come to an agreement, Void Elves getting more normal options is indeed harmless and would be a great addition. It’s unfortunate how long it took for you to finally realize it, but no hard feelings now that you have. We’re happy to have you on the team, and we likewise look forward to Blood Elves getting new options as well.
Glad we have come to an agreement, Void Elves getting more normal options at the expense of Blood Elves is indeed extremely harmful and would be a tragically terible addition. It’s unfortunate how long it took for you to finally realize it, but no hard feelings now that you have. We’re happy to have you on the team, and we likewise look forward to Void Elves getting no new options as well as they’ve already stolen all the development time from Blood Elves.
All allied races have this issue, sadly. I really want an expansion that focuses on heavy character customization and not a bunch of temporary order halls.
Still wish Allied Races could just inherit a bunch of options from the base race, too, when applicable
