I just don’t see a 3rd option. The writing has been horrible.
They have stacked every lore character of power on the Alliance. Sylvanas is literally the only one left on the Horde. So we can’t see someone who is stronger than us as equals. To cover for this bad writing, they had to use more bad writing of “being stupid” so the Horde even survives.
Sourfang, Baine, Calia…all have a debt to the Alliance or have been seen to work for the Alliance at the expense of the Horde and their own people. Oddly enough, you never see this happen the other way around. I don’t see any Alliance leaders that look to be indebted to the Horde, or seem to care more about the Horde than the Alliance.
So now we have the Alliance. Who we can’t see as equals, because they are that much stronger than the Horde. And you couple that with much of the Horde Leadership being under the thumb of the Alliance and I only see one real conclusion.
Lapdogs.
But I am sure more bad writing will save us.
