Kul Tiras Tenth Fleet

Heralding from the high seas and turbulent oceans of US-Moon Guard, the Kul Tiras Tenth Fleet is a military/naval themed roleplay guild based in Alliance-controlled Boralus. Dedicated sailors from all walks of life have come to join the Fleet, each finding a new purpose, a place to call home, and most importantly, a new family. Whether they be on the front lines in the middle of the fray as Marines, performing covert missions with Recon, providing health and wellness as Corpsmen, or any one of the other divisions, there is a place for everyone in the Tenth. There is no finer way to serve Kul Tiras and the Alliance than while wearing the green and gold!

  • Mission Statement - We strive to maintain a friendly atmosphere in which members can enjoy a community-driven roleplay experience focused on the lore, culture, and history of Kul Tiras. We intend to provide a space in which members can tell compelling and interesting stories in cooperation with their fellow guildmates. We achieve this goal through our leadership whose primary focus is to keep all administrative functions of the guild, both IC and OOC, running smoothly. Officers are available and approachable, and will address all matters in a timely and respectful manner.

We’re always looking for people who:

  • Are interested in a Military-themed RP environment.
  • Are a friendly, outgoing person out of character.
  • LGBTQA+ Friendly
  • Have a love of Naval history.
  • Can handle a Disciplined in-character environment.
  • Wish to make good friends and progress their individual character stories with others.

Marine Corps

Well trained and well disciplined, the Marines of the Kul Tiras Tenth Fleet are the line drawn in the sand when it comes to the defense of their homeland. These sailors stand brave and tall, donning the best possible equipment so that they may be able to face all adversity. They are the main fighting force of the Fleet, ready and able to respond on a moment’s notice and willing to give their lives for Kul Tiras.

Medical Corps

Without the presence of a well trained and competent medical staff, the fighting men and women of the Tenth Fleet would be unable to perform their duties as required. Trained in all manner of care to ensure the health and safety of their fellow sailors, the Medical Corps are essential to the survival of many sailors both at sea and on land. Specializations range from surgery, first aid, emergency response, psychology, and even magical healing. Many can even be found on the battlefield in the thick of the fighting, plying their trade with a cool head while chaos rages around them.

Navy

The Kul Tiran Navy is the most widely encompassing arm of the military forces of Kul Tiras. All branches of service are designed to work in tandem with the Navy, as it is responsible for ferrying troops between missions, defeating enemy vessels, ranging far beyond Kul Tiras, and defending the homeland and her interests at home or overseas. All naval personnel are required to receive a full training in seamanship, requiring navigation, helmsmanship, artillery, and a mastery of battlefield strategy.

Reconnaissance

Working from the shadows, as well as high above the clouds, the Recon division focuses on handling internal and external threats with discretion. Covert operatives, Squallrunners, Outriggers, and more make up these ranks to ensure the safety of Kul Tiras, oftentimes carrying out missions long before the need for action is known by the rest of the Fleet itself. Acting as scouts, first response teams, spies, and information gatherers, the Recon division is an essential part of the success of the Tenth Fleet.

Tidefaith

The Faith of the Tides centers around the worship of the Tidemother, a mystical sea-goddess shrouded in mystery, with respect for the sea as a common theme. Tidesages are always present on large ships in the navy ,assisting with navigation and protecting the vessels. Other functions include communing with the tides, providing blessings, officiating weddings and funerals, and preserving Kul Tiran history and culture. Tideguards, on the other hand, are those dedicated to the faith who have taken up vows to protect and defend the sages with their very lives.

Arcanists

From spellblades to sorcerers, fire mages to telekeniticists, the Arcanists of the Tenth Fleet are those sailors who have honed their skills with magic into deadly weapons and essential tools. They act as artillery while at sea, bombarding enemy vessels with balls of fire and shards of ice, and aid in the preparations on land, such as levitating cargo into place and securing camp with arcane locks and wards. Thornspeakers, wizards, hedge mages, and any who weave magic like tailors weave thread are welcome within these ranks. Under the direction of the Chief Incanter, they are the magical might of the Navy, capable of great destruction and support alike.

Auxiliary Corps

Beyond the strength of arms and the dominance of our naval forces, the Tenth Fleet is only able to properly function through the well organized and directed Auxiliary Corps. Here, one will find both military and civilians working side by side to ensure that all aspects behind the scenes of the Lord Admiral’s Navy are running smoothly and operating with peak efficiency. Coordinating Civilian Contracts, Logistics specialists, and our own Engineering Corps is no small task, but is handled with expertise and aplomb. Below are listed the three specialties of the Auxiliary Corps.

Civilian Contracts

A military cannot rely upon itself alone. In order to keep everything running in peak condition, non-enlisted men and women work tirelessly in conjunction with service members. Whether they are medical personnel, paramilitary, part of an information network, or any other occupation, the Tenth Fleet will contract out such individuals for much needed aid and assistance.

Logistics

An army runs on its stomach, and this is no less true for the Navy. Yet, Logistics covers much more than simply keeping the sailors fed. Through negotiation, salvage missions, acquisition, and many other methods, this is the lifeblood of the Tenth Fleet. Without Logistics, communications would break down, sailors would go cold and hungry, equipment would fall into disarray and uselessness, and much needed supplies would cease to be available.

Engineers

Manufacturing, construction, and usage of all things technological and mechanical are the purview of the Engineering Corps. Through the advancement of firearms and siege equipment, the modification of ship-board armaments, and expertly crafted demolitions, those who seek out this specialized service are sought after and respected for their skills…

Been involved with RP guilds for more years and in more games than I’d like to admit, and I’ve truly been able to find a place I could call home with the Tenth! And we’re always looking for more great people to add to our family!

I typically only play 1-2 months at a time, but the Kul Tiran Tenth Fleet has kept me playing for the past 7 and that doesn’t show any signs of stopping. If you’re looking for an entertaining, engaging RP community with a whole lot of wholesome folks, look no further.

From the seas to beyond the stars, you couldn’t ask for a better RP community. Although originally very strictly military RP, we’ve expanded to allow auxiliary forces and civilian positions and we’ve never been stronger. The more the merrier on this adventure!

So I have two characters that might fit in this, however one is actually a young and spitfire-esque gilnean girl who set her home in Kul Tiras, while the other is a brooding ex-tidesage with a dark past :'D None of whom are very ‘‘military disciplined’’ and both of which kinda currently live as ‘‘civilian’’. Would that still work? I could elaborate more in game through /w.
