Exerpt From the Stormwind Daily Regarding The Grand Circle’s Current Activity

“The Grand Circle of Mages have been working in twofold missions in keeping with orders from High Command. The Knights of Arkhana were mobilized to the lands south and east to Duskwood and Redridge. There, they escorted approximately fifty civilians from Duskwood to Redridge, where the remainder of the circle aided in further travel along the road and through the checkpoints in the city."

"Meanwhile, our College of Esoteric Arts has been at work around the city proper, aiding in the inspection of items and individuals for any signs of the plague. Additionally, they have been performing investigations into the goings on to aid in better understanding the nature of the current threat as best we can and coming up with the best methods possible to maximize the city’s protection against this new, more aggressive group of Scourge.”

Archmage Montierre offered the Grand Circle’s aid to any organizations within the Grand Alliance that may need it.

They’re a good group of people, and if you’re a mage you should join them

You are, by far the worst wizards I have ever seen! One day after you set up wards the scourge run rampant throughout the city and then some sort of dimensional shift happens that makes everyone disappear!

But the Scourge is also gone, so wouldn’t you then say they’re super efficient? :stuck_out_tongue:

Does this guild strictly only allow characters with some form of arcane talent to join their ranks? Or would any scholarly sort be allowed, say a scholar from the Explorer’s League with more shamanistic talents?

Hi there! We’re primarily an arcane orientated community, so while more scholarly-archetype characters are welcome, we do require members to be able to understand and practice at least a basic level of arcane magic.

That being said, the Grand Circle is planning a number of community events such as public lectures and other events dedicated to fostering scholarly RP outside of the guild as well. Stay tuned for that!

The second part of the Grand Circle’s public lecture series on Magical History in the Alliance was a resounding success! Various magically and scholarly minded individuals attended from both within the Grand Circle and without, expressing both interest and enjoyment of the materials discussed.

The lecture covered the threat of the Demonic Burning Legion to the small magocracy of Dalaran, leading to the formation of the enigmatic Council of Tirisfal and eventual creation of the legendary Guardian. We also briefly covered the Guardian known as Magna Aegwynn and ended at the birth of her son, the famous and infamous Guardian Medivh.

Next time, we will be discussing the life of Medivh and the events leading into the First War. If time permits, we may even be able to cover the Sons of Lothar and the magical significance of those events.

The next lecture will be held on January 8th at 8PM ST. More information to follow in the coming weeks!
