The sounds of the rest of the city fade away as a heavy fog rolls over Old Town. The darkness in the corners of the streets stretch farther than they should in the dim streetlight. And with the unsettling atmosphere comes unusual strangers laying claim to the district, dwelling in the alleys that the lamplight fears to touch. With open hands and inviting words, they offer things which youāve never seen nor heard of before. One may wonder why they ask for what they do, but all can be certain that when they leave, they will take more than they came with.

THE NOCTURNE will be taking to the streets of Old Town for The Nocturne Bazaar, a spooky black market event. This monthās theme isā¦ A Shot in the Dark!
Charms and hexes; the obscure and macabre; strange āremediesā and other items of dubious purpose will be offered by those just as unusual and unsettling as the goods they peddle. But they do not just offer trinkets-- these strangers offer power, tangible and intangible, and they do not accept coin.
Guides will be wandering the streets of Old Town throughout the duration of the event. We will escort you through the district and describe the contents and services of each station. Additionally, we will provide each attendee with an Inky Black Potion for a dark and spooky atmosphere! If all guides are occupied [ actively on a tour ] and you do not wish to wait for them to return, please contact anyone present within The Nocturne to receive your potion and introductory post.
THE NOCTURNE will be suspending the traditional barter system for this event, and instead summon forth games to test your fate & fortune. Bring a wager or two, but rememberā¦ bring nothing with you that you cannot afford to lose.
OOC DISCLAIMER
We ask that anyone with the intent of causing a heavy disruption [ e.g. stealing from a vendor without consent, attempting to attack or arrest someone at the market, or burning down Old Town ] to please refrain from doing so. It is in our canon that the Stormwind Guard has been paid off to turn a blind eye to this eveningās events, as Old Town is recognized as a seedy, criminal haven. However, we are happy to accommodate these types of interactions at a later time. We just want our event to run as smoothly as possible! Please reach out to us if you would like to explore this type of roleplay in the future.
Additionally, while we will be present all over Old Town, we want to clarify that no member of the community in this area is obligated to roleplay with us! Even if you have no interest in the event or any of our vendors, we will be happy to still provide you with an atmospheric post and a potion, so you can have some fun with what weāve set up.
