Many knew beforehand that the Horde were going to have a significant amount of players who wanted to PvP and PvE. The Alliance players are mostly casuals still leveling and the first week we saw Horde players complaining about queue times while the casuals haven’t even hit half way to seventy from sixty.
So rather than trying to fix the problems before they became problems Blizzard just let it go and it turned into what we have today. Stampede of meta chasers along with a stampede of community chasers. I don’t blame the Horde players who chose it because they wanted to be where the action doesn’t stop. I blame Blizzard and their retarded behaviors.
The only fix would have been to allow horde to switch to alliance. Because the queue time in BG is straight up a problem of faction imbalance than a PvP problem.
Come on Herod, see by yourself how awful playing alliance is in open world.
As an Alliance player, while grouping for dungeons, I never got to use the summon stones a single time. It was camped 24/7 by Horde and trust my words, we would get killed 1 second after we tried to summon. It was basically such a big disadvantage for us for PVE as it would take sometimes 20 minutes + for the whole group to get into one dungeon.
I’m also not even talking about Classic when we were getting buff purged H24 while trying to get into MC, BWL or Naxx. Because horde was camping entrances all the time.
When solo leveling, I can’t tell you how many times I got rolled on by a group of 2, 3, 4 & even 5 horde. It was AWEFUL.
As Alliance, you also suffers from ridiculous prices at the AH. At the begining, a Blinkstrike on my server would sell for 8k, while on horde it was already a 3.5k.
Horde to Alliance transfers was the fix. It’s interesting to me horde are suddenly claiming this wouldn’t work when half the threads about this issue posted BY HORDE were suggesting it only 24 hours ago. Almost like they know this change works out way better for them and they don’t care what happens to Alliance.
You have a very myopic view if you think this change has no impact on alliance. The players who chose alliance because we actively PvP and wanted shorter queues will also be impacted as more of alliance talent moves to horde or quits because one of the biggest incentives to play alliance has been taken away. I’m not sure why you can’t see past the immediate “fix” to see the bigger picture, but that’s on you.
self evident with the most basic of knowledge of the subject. horde had ques in og TBC, horde hand 30-45, av 1hr ques in vanilla classic. TBC with arena induction raising the level of min/maxing sweatiness, so even more people will play horde- hence bigger ques. TBH i’m actually surprised was only 45-1hr
If you think people are literally wasting their mains to start all over on horde you’re wrong. Most of the wow pop doesn’t have the time to play all day.
I’ve given the solution a million times but here we go:
Arena matches give honor points.
“Patient warrior” or “Eager for battle” buff, which for every 15min in queue, you get 20% extra honor in the bg and an extra mark, stacks until the game is joined, and breaks if a character joins the group mid queue.
Here, let me copy and paste since it was probably flagged by salty people.
I am a horde main who left the game when the pandas showed up. I solved the horde BG issue by rolling alliance in classic. I don’t have the racials I want and I’m not playing with my old guild so I never have to deal with que times. If you are not willing to play alliance to avoid que times, they you made conscious decision to enjoy hour plus que times, so enjoy as there is no problem here that you didn’t bring on yourself.
I’m horde but what could have been tried is offering bonus rewards for lower queuing side (alliance). Then MAYBE more of them would be inclined to do it. The issue is NOT that there isn’t enough alliance. The total imbalance is only 46/54. That wouldn’t produce overly long queues assuming everyone queued up. It’s clear most of the alliance we do have just don’t care about BGs. So the question is NOT “How can we move horde to alliance?” The proper question is “How can we persuade more alliance to queue up for BGs?”
