A question for those who wont play remix unless they can get old MT apperances

Do you actually enjoy playing world of warcraft? I can’t believe how common this sentiment seems to be, I’ve always had the impression a lot of wow players don’t actually care for the game and gameplay itself and instead just this vague concept of “og” clout as well as collection stuff akin to the ongoing mount farm event.

Like legion remix looks awesome, the fact we are getting increased difficulty open world for the first time is great on it’s own and the fact people will drop that, as well as legions plethora of dungeons and raids to partake in, makes me wonder if people even care about gameplay anymore. There is a concept of “balance” people care a lot about that seems to be an endless cycle of +5% here and -5% there to keep things different for the sake of being different, and outside of celebrating a buff or moaning about a nerf it seems most people don’t care at all about gameplay.

Miss the boat on mage tower when it was easy at the end of legion? That sucks, but most of you wont use those weapons anyway and only care about the FOMO aspect. Most mage tower stuff wasn’t even that crazy compared to the cosmetics we get now, the only reason people care is the clout of having done something “hard” so long ago the classes are barely the same, and that came AFTER a period where you could cakewalk the challenges with argus alt gear. If blizz gave all that stuff out for free during remix, and we all know it would be truly free and not close to what mage tower was supposed to be, that clout factor goes away any everyone has ashbringer. again.

Stop caring so much about pixels and actually play the game, in fact if you actually played the game instead of being a forum warrior in 2017 you might have had all of the weapons you wanted then instead of having to grovel and be upset about it now.

Average WoW player is like 40 years old so start acting like 40 instead of 14 at least where I might have to see it, thank you very much.

People are just making threats now to try and get their way - most of them will play

You’re asking a group that doesn’t exist. These people will absolutely play remix for hours on end, while continuing to complain that the thing they’re spending their time on isn’t worth spending their time on.

It’s not up to you to tell people how to enjoy the game.

I’m going to make a prediction.

They won’t backtrack on the artifact appearances for Remix.

But, when Legion Classic happens in a few years, they’ll break the rules and it will be the first instance of a Classic reward becoming part of your Retail account.

Id wager the number of people who won’t play lemix because of that is much much smaller than the amount of people who say they won’t play lemix because of it.

To answer your question, zero players will stop playing.

They play now without the MT mogs and they’ll keep playing without the MT mogs. Nothing will change.

You put exactly what I was thinking too. People are screaming they won’t play unless those tmogs are put back because they think it will force Blizzard’s hand.

TRUTH IS there are going to be MORE THAN PLENTY of people playing Legion Remix. I will be one of them, no matter if I can or can’t get the mage tower appearances I missed back when Legion was live. (I wanted the fury warrior mage tower weapon SO BADLY, but I can’t DPS my way out of a wet paper bag with a warrior. :joy: )

That said, speaking as someone who has sixteen(? I think?) of the mage tower appearances, I also will NOT birth technicolor kittens on my desk if they do bring the appearances back. I’ve been using several of mine hardcore. My two feral druids will likely never be anything other than sparklekitty ever again. My demon hunter has used nothing at all other than the mage tower glaives since he got them. Nothing compares! It’s a shame players today can’t love these tmogs the way I love them. And if Blizzard brings them back only for people to collect the hell out of them then never use them, so be it. It will not take the sparkles off my kitties or the glaives off my demon hunter’s back.

Love the game. I’m neutral on the MT appearances debate, my issue lies with them not returning but the Spellwing is.

Take the Spellwing back, I’m fine. If not, bring the MT appearances along with it.

They need to stop cherry picking.

I wasn’t around for Legion. I stopped playing somewhere around 4.0 and only came back recently.

The only reason I was looking forward to Legion was because it was the only chance I had of getting the Crest of Holy Fire for my protection paladin.

Without that, Legion Remix has dropped firmly into “meh” territory. I’ll probably still try it, but it’s not something that excites me as much as it did before this decision got made.

Oh, I’ll play it. There are other things from Legion that I want to get. That doesn’t mean I can’t be salty the MT appearances won’t be available.

And giving us the Spellwing in Lemix, but not giving the War Wolf in Mopmix makes no sense whatsoever. The frustration you are seeing is because their decisions on what to include and what to exclude in Remix modes are ridiculously arbitrary.

People like what they like and they are passionate about what they’re passionate about. Not sure why has you so upset. If it bothers you that much, don’t do it and don’t read about it. It’s not hurting anybody. I personally want the storybook mount. Legion was an exceptionally great expansion and people are excited to make sure they can get what they may have missed out on the first time.

Your question dosnʻt really apply to me as i will still play Leigon remix regardless of the mage tower appearances.

It would have been nice as how easy things are to do in a remix event (once geared, we could easily Solo any raid in Pandaria) Iʻm mostly curious as to what the vendors may hold that will piqe my interest

i won’t be playing mainly because the inconsistency in rewards.

returning the AOTC mount and Garb of the Chosen dead without MT weapons makes absolutely no sense.

lol - you don’t play retail anyway regardless.

I don’t even think most of the mage tower stuff is all that worthwhile. But if they don’t have those then I don’t see the incentive in engaging in Lemix. The story quests are boring I wasnt very fond of them. The main reason I did pandaria remix was because I wanted the garrosh shoulders so I wouldnt have to grind it out every week on my 5 warriors anymore. That and I wanted a nice way to level a paladin, it’s nice to have an alliance alt.

Guess I gotta hope for either magetower 2.0 skins or some other grab bag of cool stuff, otherwise it’s a waste of my time since it’s nothing I can’t otherwise get pretty easily already.

Ain’t no way. Leading up to launch of Classic they specifically stated that they don’t want an ecosystem where players will feel forced to play an entirely different game for the sake of getting something out of it for their retail accounts.

Things can always change but I really don’t this one being one of them.

I’m not reading all that but playing a certain patch 10+ years ago isn’t a “challenge”, those who unlocked them simply happened to be there at a time when others weren’t. There’s nothing interesting or bragworthy about that so locking a bunch of content behind a timegate is bad and WoW wouldn’t have to rely on predatory junk like fomo to keep people playing if the game was actually good and compelling to play on its own merits.

“But it was hard and I struggled for it!” – No you bought a carry and you’ll never convince me otherwise so good luck with that.
