A question about Rexxar

and ace if he finds none attractive!

Seeing as this is current Blizzard, who’ll run anything from W3 through the the thresher in some attempt to remain relevant…I’d prefer they not mangle one of the few untouched old characters to just be another empty token gesture like Pelegos.

Just make a Horde side version of Flynn and Shaw, with new characters.

The OP sounds like one of those people that would announce they were gay, vegan, or did crossfit upon entering a room when no one asked. No one cares.

I’d love that.

Yep.

they just gotta say that rexxar does’nt like anybody in-that-way. bam, nothing changes, and asexual folks who want representation can go nuts!

I’d say make Zappy Boi gay, but he had an obvious attraction for Talanji in the pre-SL novel.

Rexxar is Asexual?

I’m good with that too.

There’s Thiernax and Qadarin in the Night Fae story. When they showed up it was so nonchalant. There was a brief ā€œOh that’s happeningā€ moment and it went on without any further notice.

Sadly, I know what you meant in your original post. The vibe in some of the indie LGBTQ+ games is a little… aggressive. Like there’s an agenda to be pushed.

It was really weird though to have a horse kissing a deer.

Why would that mangle him? Rexxar has yet to express any kind of attraction, so he’s kind of an open book in that regard.

He kind of just hates civilization in general but if they were ever to do some Mok’nothal content having him have some interactions with his own kind, romantic or otherwise, would make sense.

Not much really. The sexuality of other individuals isn’t something I dwell on beyond addressing the individual as they choose to be addressed.

What’s a Goldshire?

Don’t answer that! ā€œNO Shreds, NO!ā€

It would mangle him, because this is current Blizz. They’ve ruined most of the Warcraft 3 lore and characters they’ve touched.

He can understand it but I’m sure he still feels obligated to make sure it doesn’t happen. He also didn’t do anything until the third time and I think the biggest difference is now she’s back at home and getting the Kul Tiras navy ready for war against the Horde. All the parallels between her and her father are there from an outside perspective so Rexxar came to the conclusion (and I think this is in the game… even if badly worded) that she’s following her father’s footsteps and needs to be put down finally.

This is what I thought as well. I have several hunters who look up to him, but at no time was I like, ā€œI wonder if he’s interested,ā€ like a high school drama. At this point, asexual would be preferable, and is less-represented than gay or bi are.

My thoughts would be along the lines of: OK, cool… but, what does that have to do with being an orc hunter?

As long as someone is cool and not a jerk, is doing their job, then why does anything else matter? Like… wut? That’s so silly.

That’s fair I suppose. Hopefully he’s over it now, if anyone filled him in on the whole Baine rescue situation.

That’s only true if you’re talking about overt representation. I would love to see a character assert themselves as an Ace. But if you’re talking about simply being an Ace, technically, every NPC whose sexuality is unknown can be thought of as an Ace because they’ve never demonstrated attraction to anyone.
