This evening I realized something. If you play a class that likes a main hand/offhand combo, or in my case main hand and shield, you can save crests by taking a two-handed weapon and upgrading it. Equivalent upgrades for your main hand and offhand have the crest requirement waived. I’ll definitely be taking this tack for S2. Bit too late in S1 to have it matter for me now.
No one new to WoW has a clue what you’re talking about. You’re at least three systems deep and they’ve never even seen a crest.
For real. We got vanilla vets that still don’t know how to interrupt and OP thinks a new player knows what a main hand/offhand or crest is?
OP has the kind of faith in new players I wish I had in humanity.
So in your folks’ estimation the crest tutorial quest chain on hitting 90 doesn’t do anything?
I forgot that existed.
I think like 90% of tutorials in this game either do not exist or fall drastically short of teaching what they need.
So probably yea
Seems like it gets the concept across pretty well, at least to me. But that could be confirmation bias because I’m obviously not a new player (check my profile if you feel like).
The quest teaches just fine. These people around here just don’t read and then blame the game for their own issues.
I think it’s a good PSA for new and vets alike. ![]()
