Yea it’s wild when you have like 6 Lock DoTs on you, you’re like…hmm this will eventually hurt in the next like 30-40 seconds if this Lock keeps chasing me and Redotting me. But when I see a SINGLE void plague and Shadow Word Pain on any of my characters I’m basically in immediate panic mode of trying anything I can to heal it off. It almost requires people to full time run around with Shadow Prot Pots since Spriest DoTs are worse than BFD Kelris.

And then people come on the forums with a list of consumes to take explicitly for spriest as if any other class has any kind of requirement lol
Like I’m over it by now trying to make the best of things still pvping but the bottom line is shadow priest single handedly makes this phase’s pvp toxic and unfun and if you don’t see that you’re delusional…

This is assuming its a 1v1 fight. The brunt of the damage is through the dots is what I am saying. thats spanned over, how long were you sitting there for? if you were in combat you woulda been chasing them down most of the time doing way more damage and not over time, killing them with probably enough time to sit and eat afterwards. but if it was somewhat close and still lost. you could argue that with anyone that bests you. including a fellow same speced hunter. You were just bested that bout
In a group scenario, well thats where your healer/dispeller would come into play to help with that.
“Yo just bring Shadow Prot Pots, FAPs and maybe even a stack of healing potions bro…it’s an easy counter, just come at an Spriest like you’re prepping to fight a raid boss”

Mind you, I’m not saying spriests are in a perfectly good place, theres issues with alota classes but with the video i was shown and my issues with priests, it seemed fairly winnable

Yes, SP is broken. But hunter being the dominant melee in a game with 5 other pure melee specs (two of which can ONLY melee) is also broken. Moreso than SPs currently are.
Dont worry, priests will get another pass. But you arent getting that 30% back on Raptor.

You do know that 2 DoTs without repplication did a total of about 2.5k damage to him in the video correct?
2 spriest dots is still more DMG than 4 lock dots and 2 Boomie dots combine…
This isn’t about Melee Hunter anymore, this is about needing to bury Spriest as an actual spec once and for all.
Bury? No. Balance.
No Bury, it doesn’t have any place as a caster DPS. Priests are healers, they shouldn’t do anything else. if they want to play a caster, play a real one, Lock or Mage.

You have the entire time that they are walking up to you to react…
No ranged class has any excuse to get regularly gap closed by a melee hunter, especially if they have any sort of slow. They are countered by situational awareness and focusing them down. Priest even gets a free fear on them that only rank 5 trinket can break.
The only classes that have any right to be crying about melee hunters are the other melee that get absolutely clapped by them.

It’s almost like I dont have interest in ranked pvp. However, you seem to have missed the 2k achievements from when I needed the pvp trinket for shadowlands raiding.
That being said, does it take a rank 1 pvper to watch a video of two dots not killing someone to refute the claim that 2 dots did kill someone?
As I said, for the fourth time, that was not even the same priest that was just the only shadowplay I happen to find. I have hours of shadowplay to comb through
Let me sit there and white damage him for that duration he sat there with those dots. I probably woulda gotten him roughly the same if not killed him. im autoing for 250-300 at about almost the same rate those dots tick.
When you take something and isolate it without the rest of the context(the fight), it is going to look bad.
