I want the abilities to have comparable performance in various types of content, but to still possess niches.
Rogues have a reasonable choice in this regard, at least among some of them. Sepsis from Night Fae is essentially a mini cooldown, while Echoing Reprimand is a more rotational ability, akin to Flayed Shot or Death Chakram. Both are fairly comparable in net output, but they have different niches of use.
I’d love to see something similar for our abilities. Let Flayed be an ability for funneling AoE into a single target. Let’s find another niche for Death Chakram. All of them should have similar net performance in various situations, but vary in terms of their niche within that.
