If you’re sticking with that analogy then Dragon Riding is Greek Yogurt. I like Dragon Riding and Yogurt equally… meaning not at all.

My double gatherer has had no problems with dragonriding. Specially since they made it so a node gives you back basically an entire vigor point. Also love tricks like that bronze portal, and stopping right above a node for another free vigor point.

Dragonriding was fun for a while but I’ve grown to hate it and am avoiding the current expansion now until they allow the regular flying.

I mean, thats a load or you barely gather anything. Gather 5-6 nodes within a minute and different elevations and your entire vigor bar is empty.

I auto-fly deliberately, then I tab out and forget that I was autoflying.
I love dragonriding but hopefully they allow for this shortly. Personally, I would only use old-style flying in very specific situations thou.
That was a funny bug. 
I gather plenty. Different elevations make it even easier to conserve vigor. There’s the point you get back after harvesting, but if something is widely different elevations you can gather the top one, and then use the portal before you gather the lower one. Then after you have gathered the lower one you can just use the portal to get back to the high elevation and walk off to gain enough speed boost that you can break when you get to the next herb for another free vigor point.
You can only use the portal on a cooldown, but the breaking on top a herb while traveling with thrill thing is really nice for extra points of vigor.
For what it’s worth, I am on team “add both mounts and let people choose.” I was just saying that dragonriding for herbing/mining really isn’t that bad. If anything it makes it a lot less boring than just flying slowly in circles around the map. WoW gathering is already terrible, so anything I can do to spice it up the better.

So tired of jumping up and trying to activate Druid flight form only to land back down on the ground. Old habits die hard. Please bring regular flying in Dragonflight alongside Dragon Riding.

i don’t care if druids have a farm bonanza, being able to control my character properly is not some op skill. it’s called movement. i mean people so loved underwa… ohh yeah most people would rather forget vashj’ir.
Whenever they do add both forms of flying everywhere I’m super hoping druids can dragon ride as well in flight form.

That’s not our fault at all. It’s blizzard’s fault for creating dragonriding to get subs and sales for the expansion.
Having regular flying won’t hurt anything. You’re making up garbage like bots, and the market being hurt due to regular flying.
Regardless whether there is flying or not, nothing to do with regular flying which most of us love has ever caused bots. That’s a real stretch.
We need regular flying in dragonflight. Dragonriding is boring, and the novelty has worn off. Half or more of us didn’t ask for it either.

The vast majority love DF and voted to keep it as the new form of flying. Really happy that blizzard is finally listening to the players and customers.
Cannot wait for our old dragon mounts to get it plus replacing regular flight in all areas of the game.
