Census will be discontinued once WarcraftRealms has finished their Census AddOn.
I have reformatted all charts to reflect only levels 10-60 for both factions.

I’m curious what the Horde data is. Thanks all the same for this and the over lvl 9 stat. Its good to know where the curve is.

That’s a surprisingly small number of rogues. I would have expected far more. Maybe people trying to level tanks/healers early then going DPS later?

I expect the curve is much large. However, due to work I’m unable to scan all day like how I did at launch. Friday I’m off and that’s a peak day so I’m willing to bet there will be major changes to this chart.
I’m also going to update with Guild member numbers by the end of the week.

Sorry, this was only made for Pagle. Kinda makes me sad that I’m the only one to think to do this. Though I’m sure more people will come around to it eventually.

Next scan: Horde
The horde side seems pretty full in the cities and quest areas. I had a horde toon on Medivh back in Wrath when it was 3-1 in favor of the alliance and the horde cities felt empty.
Having been a resident of Stormrage since LK, this is an almost balanced server for me. lol
This project has not been abandoned. I’ve had some personal stuff to take care of, forums doesn’t seem to let me change characters ATM so I’ll update things when I can. I’m not sure if I’ll continue updating both factions, as I do need my own playtime, so we can just assume for now that we’re about A 2.5 : 1 H.
It’s still the first month of play though. I’ve modified my Census addon to only track certain levels. Data will be purged and redone to see who is actually active.

With increasing news from WarcraftRealms, this chart is scheduled to be discontinued pending their completion of their CensusPlus add-on for Classic.
This means that I won’t have to be the only one running Census and everyone can upload their data to WarcraftRealms’ database, which makes a manual list like this obsolete.
Thank you all for the support. It was fun to get a general ratio. We will all soon be able to contribute to the Pagle census.

Cool, been running the addon for a while now.
I have 77,459 scanned on the alliance side.

That’s actually a nice healthy rounded mix in general. Looks like people are playing the class they enjoy rather than only going for the pre-conceived best classes.

This list removes levels 1-9 because they’re most used for bank toons. It was also last updated 8-31, as in the thread title.
It’s being discontinued due to WarcraftRealms almost finishing their CensusPlus addon, which will only scan levels 10-60 (or was it 20-60?), like this chart.
EDIT:
To add to this I’ve purged all my census data and have been actively running census since the beginning of this week. Only found about 10k Alliance level 20-60.
You can limit your Census search function to restrict it to certain levels by navigating to the classic addon folder
World of Warcraft > _ classic _ > Interface > AddOns > CensusPlusClassic
Double click the CensusPlusClassic lua , open in NotePad and key CTRL F and search
local MIN_CHARACTER_LEVEL =
Change the MIN level to what ever you’d like your scan to stop at.
This will limit the amount of useless data you can scan for. IE: Bank toons, “tourists”, trial toons, etc.

EDIT: Already, I got bored while the servers were down so I rewrote the purge function to only purge characters below level 15 (since that’s where the major hump disappears). Here is the updated list of what I’ve seen 15 and above. I did it by nil’ing out the values to keys, so the total characters and %'s aren’t working, but the actual lists work fine. Too lazy to fix proper now that the servers are back up, since this data isn’t particularly important to anyone. Posting just in case anyone else is interested.

This is the rightful version of Census to download, made by WarcraftRealms.
You’ll lose your census info as the other AddOn isn’t WarcraftRealms made.
I’ll be switching to this and post again once they provide an upload server.
