Minimal Effort is comprised of experienced raiders and roleplayers who enjoy a relaxed community capable of progressing effectively through PvE content. The community values team-oriented players who understand the importance of etiquette within the server’s shared raiding and roleplay environment. The guild maintains explicit rules and takes a measured approach to recruitment—this helps reduce drama, prevent toxic behavior, and foster a community built on mutual respect.
What you can expect:
- An experienced, relaxed group of players interested in progression content without the commitment of a second job.
- OOC events, including giveaways and in-game activities, to build solidarity and promote inclusion within the guild.
- An open, considerate, and mature environment.
- Rules that matter and are enforced, for everyone.
What we are looking for:
- Raiders: Recruitment is active for Ranged DPS and Healers. That being said, any player, either willing to learn or with raiding experience, may reach out.
- Casual Roleplayers: OCs that fit within the Argent Dawn theme and are comfortable with casual, open-world RP. Given there are no scheduled RP events, ad hoc RPers are most suitable for the community.
- Activity: We are looking for players that can be reasonably active in guild affairs; the guild’s schedule is provided below.
- Age: The guild has a significant amount of good-natured bantering that can include strong language; because of this, we require all members be 21+

Quick F.A.Q.s:
Do I have to be an experienced raider to join? No, we require only that players be willing and capable of learning to join groups for PvE content. However, roster positions are provided based on availability, capability, and composition.
How long has the community been on BB? Since launch. The guild was previously Holy Vanguard and primarily focused on RP in early Classic. With the announcement of TBC, the community’s interest has refocused towards PvE content.
Do I have to be interested in PvE content to join? No.
What programs/addons are required? Discord is required for all members but only raiders must have a mic. Certain raid-specific addons are also required.
Is there an attendance policy? Not for players to join or maintain admission in the guild. However, certain ranks and permissions in the Discord require a primary character, in-game, to be in the guild.
What is your Loot System? EPGP with open rolls for Mounts and a Loot Council for Legendaries. All caveats to the EPGP system, including its standard metrics, are visible in Discord. Changes to the system are announced publicly with reasonable timeframes for discussion.
Your community sounds interesting, but I don’t want to leave my guild—are players outside the guild allowed to join for PvE content? Yes, the community allows for an Ally rank (in Discord) to accommodate these players. Our community is comparatively small, so Allies who fit our semi-relaxed culture are welcome.
What do you mean by “Minimal Effort”? It means 70% of the time we are casual and 30% of the time we are focused on progressing through content under restricted timeframes. Consequently, our raiders value players who respect others’ time by being ready, engaged, and capable during content.
