There’s nothing hard about spamming chat. There’s nothing hard about refreshing LFG every few minutes. There’s nothing hard about whispering people asking if they want to join your group, only to find out they’re afk. There’s nothing hard about dps trying to join your group when all you need is a healer. It’s just tedium…annoying tedium.
Smashing up boulders is hard. Running a marathon is hard. Childbirth is hard. LFG is none of these.
Claiming pro RDF people are “lazy” is like claiming people who use their dishwashers are “lazy.” You’re just on this kick that extra steps for the sake of extra steps makes you some sort of saint. It’s flat out weird.
Before calling someone lazy over a game, I think you should stop being lazy and study a bit more, so you don’t lack the bare minimum requirements to comprehend what you read.
In what universe is that hard to understand that being able to easily finish most of the content is NOT the same as the time it requires for you to grind and find people to play with on lower-level zones?
Do you understand that this is a game that generates revenue and people need a reason to keep paying for it? That some people would like to level alts but don’t want to spend so much unnecessary time, because RDF was literally a part of this expansion and made leveling less frustrating?
But hey, just wait until most people are done with the current content. They will probably just go back to retail or unsubscribe until phase 2 or RDF is implemented. Until then, you can just keep being super productive grinding a re-released game that will die once Cata Classic is released.
Edit:
He probably did. This is why he won’t have so much free time like you to play.
So my plan is to Raid all the Raids each week, Daily heroics and gold farming then alts. So the time for me is unlimited as there is too much content to even do it all for me. For others sure they may raid log but I doubt it…
Lololol, and no one bothers to consider the hardcore players that took a week off work are just now finishing up rep grinds and moderately geared? All the top-dogs that arent going to run markets, mount farm, and mat-gather are just now getting to a point they can finish their daily tasks in a few hours and have idle hands. What do you think theyre doing in that time? Watching rings of power? Leveling their fire mage to prep for ICC? Making an alt warrior cuz they never liked them before and want to see if wrath fixed the class for them?
Everyone thats going on about how dead low level zones are are trying to level in a lul between waves, watch the content and when the second batch of players (not the realm first elitist groups clearing everything day 1: but the guys that get in and progress every week and still raid lock) start hitting dead time, chances are they arent dropping their sub for a month or two before new content(the spacing of patch release is systemically designed for this) they’re gonna start flooding old content with alts and looking for groups to slam out levels fast, dragging everyone up the ladder with momentum for short windows, then shelf them again with new content, focus high-side for a week or two, then go back to alts for another wave as the content luls.
This sort of thing is heavily studied by designers and social studies all through the industry and if it wasnt an effective clip you’d only have 1 character at a time, or content would all come out at once in the expansion and people would be expected to pace themselves through all 5 raids.
You’ve hit the nail on the head! I finished leveling one toon and I absolutely don’t want anything to do with leveling unless I can do the queue LFD/quest combo. I get the integrity of classic but we’ve leveled through these zones for years. It’s old and I’d just like to have my other character at cap.
I think they should do something similar to the Cold Flying books. Once you get a capped character then cut the exp by half 70-80. Cut exp in half 1-70 permanently and do “promo weekends” where they cut exp in half again. How many people on the fence would be incentivized to come back and play with friends?
Blizzard doesn’t realize that if they give the players a little bit then we’ll be happy little nerds. Players don’t need to play the game, we want to play the game. Help us have more fun in your game Blizzard.
I just dont get enough play time, being a dad and taking care of the house hold i dont have 4 + hours a night to grind and find good groups, i love classic but dont have nearly enough time to stay ahead of the curve. Got 75 first 3-5 days now im stuck behind at 76 while my guild and friends are already 80.
If your friends wanted to lvl alts… do so together…? Seems like an easy concept… Wouldn’t need RDF or wellfare leveling buffs if you already had a group put togetherr…
No they wont. Most people already have an army of alts already at 70. They can buy a boosted character to 70. The leveling from 70 to 80 wasnt bad at all.
Nobody is goimg to level from 1 to 80. I agree with that. Why would anyone waste time on old content. But nobody is going to quit because they have to level from 70 to 80. If they quit it is because they dont want to level an alt period.
The real reason ppl will quit is because of no rdf.
