Why are you mad about something that was 100% predictable from the very start?

SOD literally has the word “season” in its name. Surely you did not expect endless new content?

outside of that survey they sent that said they may be working on a classic+ they have said nothing about it

china is getting the timewalking servers where you level to 80 and all raids from classic TBC and wrath are all scaled for 80 we are unsure if NA/EU is getting them i hope they will announce it at gamescon end of august

They never said that they stop developping sod. They said they “slow down” its development in last bluepost. So some updates before next major classic project are still possible. We already have a leak about alliance shamans and horde paladins (i dont think they added that NPCs without reason)

How about “play them” i got in both AQ’s today, world boss’s, naxx. SOD just isnt 24/7 anymore, find the active times, play around it.
Start your own groups.
Every1 gave up to ezy.
Average wow player “no new content coming out in SOD, so im goin to play MOP old content”

Not years for sure. They releasing different classic versions very fast last 2 years. Sod, hc, classic fresh, cata, mop - all those things were released in last 2 years. I think they will announce there new classic project (idk will it be classic+ or other season) on this year gamescom, or the latest next year blizzcon. For sure, not “years away”

Leveling in wsg buying gear per level bracket, extra quests in zones i literally just flied to 15 in what seemed like an hour

Wait until you find out Classic+ is really just their Seasonal thing, but with “twists”.

Like they could do a Classic+, but that would require a lot of dedicated development.

Then there’s a risk of impacting Retail; how many would have bought Dragon Isle expansion if they could just play a version of it here [in Classic]. For free, with an active sub.

Then there’s the growing chorus of bringing items from SoD into Retail as transmogs; more dev time. Dev time that could be spent making the next expansion to sell for $100 if you get the Ultimate Super-duper Xtreme Edition.

Plus they still haven’t realized their C-suite’s dream of “Annual Franchise” (thanks Bobby!)…

Year 1: Retail Expansion
Year 2: Classic Expansion
Year 3: Retail Expansion
Year 4: Classic Expansion

Gives each expansion 2 years, while also still being a “new expansion each year”.

So a Classic+, realistically, shouldn’t be on the table until Classic is ‘one expansion behind Retail’.

Get them to merge servers and play in raids, as hard as they are trying to kill it were still doin pretty well with weekly raids.

SoD is by far the best designed version of the game in phase 8 out right now (def not perfect) but its gotta beat running AQ40 in anni for 3 hours for 4 pieces of loot that won’t drop.

Yeah, because SoD is 90% old content. Nobody wants to run Naxx anymore and the ones that do are on Classic Era. At least MoP offers a fresh experience.

Mop is old content which u can still do on retail, whats fresh about it? Cause they rerelease it people think its new content?

A fresh experience? We just had Mop remix. Cool if you’re into Mop but no thanks for a lot of us. It’s just not appealing to me and a lot of people.

I stopped playing reboots after WotLK. SoD more closely resembles and feels like WOTLK/TBC in a lot of ways, more my taste.

MoP Remix was nothing like MoP Classic. It was Dragonflight Timewalking for mounts and transmog.
